You either get invited or, if you are VIP, click on a banner on your homepage

ah I see, thank you. It would be nice for a chance to get the prehistorcs soon though, other than in a pass pack. I guess I forgot about them, but many people weren't able to pick them up initially.

It is simply a matter of being lucky enough to receive an invite PM. Howrse sends out the invites to players of all levels (so VIP and regular account holders, new and old players, top breeders and just-for-fun breeders, etc).

VIP account holders also have a perk that allows them a chance to get onto Preprod by clicking on a banner on the main page (however, there is only a certain amount of spots set aside for VIPs with this method - and if a VIP is not fast enough to click the banner, they must hope for an invite like anyone else to make it to the test server)

If you are able to buy a pass from your reserves, yes it will take 20%. If not wait the 6 hours.

Prepod is the test server, put simply. Certain players (VIPs, I believe) get invited so they can test new promos, divines, features, etc to ensure they all work well before being added to other servers.

Those digs are lost (Only reason I know this is because I've missed a few days of digging on the US Server - and I've only had the regular number of digs my tool allows - no extras or missing ones (as if it did give them - I would actually have had 50 digs today on US as opposed to the regular 25)

ya I wish I was digging and hit a trap but in the morning would be before 6 hours so there was nothing I could do but the next day it just reset. I never got to use the points that were unused. Just a little tip so that you don leave points on thinking they will be there tomorrow.
