why do fresians and gypsys no longer have pratically any feather? never seen a gypsy vanner without tons of feathers >.< hmmm not impressed in those 2 at all. the others i can get over though.

hmm not sure on the shetland foal at all. they used to look like normal shetlands before, now they look like american shetlands i prefer the cute cuddly look haha. i guess we will just have to live with it

If this is a rough draft, then I really hope that they intend to lengthen the mane. The super short mane is the only thing I dislike about this one, given that the Spanish breeds are known for their luxurious manes in real life.

I am going to miss the luxurious manes on the current Spanish breeds.

If Owlient decides to forgo the mane, then I hope that the most talented artists out there will continue to depict regal Purebred Spanish Horses, Lusitanos, and Peruvian Pasos with flowing manes because that is the look that makes my heart skip a beat. I won't cover up every Spanish coat with a Golden Apple because I do like most of what I see here, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will cover a few if the best coat makers out there come through for me.

I love all of the new coats, but I think the conformation of the Gypsy Vanner and Thoroughbred should have been left alone, even if the new coats have better shading. The Quarter Horse, Paint Horse, etc. looks better in my opinion, although I could have given them a better outline if Owlient had asked. As for the Freisian, I'd like to see more feathers and a glossier coat, but other than that I like it.

Is there something weird on the head of the tennessee walker foal (new coat)? Or is it just me..? But otherwise the new foals are fine.

I hope that players who can actually see all these new coats give feedback about them, so that horses actually would look like.. well, alive and not so plastic and angular. Left alone that they should fix those anatomical faults as mentioned before (for example Friesian's neck).

But I still have to rant a little. I thought that Howrse wanted to be more transparent concerning the game development - well it doesn't feel that way at the moment. We have now a blog that hardly tells us anything (last post on January!) and then we have this "gossip topic" here. So yes, some players maybe know what the future brings in Howrse via the test server, but the rest of us have been left behind.

Leahalalela: at least 3-4 people posted already suggestions conciderting the new coats on the test server with feedback

So hopefullly they listen we can only hope.

The coats for the foals are absolutely beautiful, just a shame the majority of the adult horses look so bad.

Guys, did anyone hear anything about a new voting system or something? I am so sick of being forced of voting for coats I don't like and would never want to use on any of my horses...so I was just wondering if any of you guys heard anything about a tweak in the voting system...

I added a mane to the Lusitano <3 I'll be sooo happy if they did that.

My "beef" is with the Friesian's, while it's not something i'm going to throw a fit over and get upset about and complain because it's horrible and bites. It's not something i'm happy to see either. Most of the new coats are vast improvements, some a horrible and lacking.

But remember that it took the artists who did these time and effort to create so hating on them is just rude. How would you feel, if a community said your work was awful and shouldn't see the light of day?

They have feelings to....just because the new graphics aren't what we envisioned or would like to see doesn't mean their not good, or shouldn't be used.

So pretty! Probably wouldn't be too hard for them to do that edit. Hope they agree that it looks better with a mane

Either way though, I like the majority of coats. Some of them are not my cup of tea, but if I don't like them, I'll just start loading up those horses with GAs :P
