Donkey's GP goes backwards however that is the opposite for horses. If there were mules, then that will probably mess up the GP system.

I am not taking offense. It was just my answer to a different post. I realize not everyone can be pleased, it's life default smiley ;). I've been on Howrse since the time of its launch. I've been through every change and decision the staff has made, and stuck with it. I just miss how the game used to be about actual horse care and knowledge. Now we are going to have the option to dress the horse up, or not have the competition bonus. I personally don't think this was a step forward. Of course, we had no idea that it would go down this path, but I'm not giving up on Howrse quite yet.

default smiley ;)

How? Mules are usually unable to reproduce at all.

Horse+donkey=mule
Well since I am NOT an expert on mules, but now I know that mules can't reproduce then how can mules breed and give birth to baby mules? And so on?
By Retired breeder, 19th March 2014 03:33:03

They don't. Every mule has horse and donkey parents.
By Retired breeder, 19th March 2014 03:35:50
Sorry then.

I am not an expert on horse+donkey breeding

Thank you! This sums it up everyone. For a Prix horse, we need to now buy *more* than we already have to. More passes, more work and money to earn those passes. Great. I really don't think this was necessary.default smiley (n)

Thank you very much for posting thisdefault smiley :) It is actually helpful. It helped me realize that the new coats will be just fine. No, they aren't perfect, but most of them are improving - which is good enough for me.

Once again, just wanted to say thank you!

I completely agree with you. I help train and breed very good and expensive QH reiners, and that horse looks sickly! I don't know where they got their sources for that one, but it wouldn't have been hard to do better. I hope that this doesn't come to Howrse, or they at least fix this. It makes me very sad.

I absolutely agree. I will not be playing howrsey dress-up except for if I have to with my G-Prix Skillors. Just like now, I never do Beach rides and I didn't do pests when they had them except for my G-Prix Skillors. These all were/are/willbe a waste of time, energy and equus/passes. default smiley (li)

I quite personally prefer most of the old coats on these. The new horses look kinda.... How to put this lightly... Lifeless and boxy. I mean, I hate losing the fluffyness of all the horses. All hroses I have ever met have had hooves more fluffy and nice looking than some of the coats new faces. No offence to anyone but to me the new horse looks are not exactly..... Nice to look at. Some are actually nice, I love the new Knabby, Arabs, tekes and nokotas. But the others not so much. The Quarters look sickly to me. I mean, that looks like my neighbors horse before she passed away from colic and old age. I understand the push for tack to be on the horses, but can we keep the fluffiness of the Gypsys. I mean come on, the last time I saw a gypsy like that was when the barn master attacked her horse Lilly with a hair straightener. And some of their heads are way to big, they are gonna fall over default smiley xd

To sum it up, a majority of these coats actually suck... I have never thought that about any horses appearences on howrse before so just... No... default smiley (n)

I don't understand people's objections to the tack... It's not like we don't already have to give our horses a saddle, bridle and horseshoes in order to enter them in competitions. The only difference between now and when it's implemented, from what I understand, is there'll we some additional pieces and they can appear on the horse (if we choose to display it that way) as opposed to having them floating in a box on the side of the horses page.
I personally find wearable tack more immersive and have been hoping howrse would add something like that to the game from the time I first started.

If someone has an actual good reason for it being a bad idea I would love to hear it because right now all I hear is naysaying and it's becoming extremely tedious.

Its more money. Both in equus and passes because more normal items means more BMIs of the same items with more bonuses so skillers will become more expensive to make and thus cost more to buy. Also this will cause an even worse inflation and fluctuation of power within howrses economy twards players with seemingly endless resources shutting out newer and less experienced and less active players into the dark as far as the huge GP race that has been raging for quite some time now. Howrse keeps adding all these *New and amazing things* But it all is stuff thats like the american economy. The rich are getting richer and the poor are scraping by dreaming of having just a bit of what they have. Sure its hard work, but its a lot of luck and real money a lot of people just dont have. I have been an honest player and only recently is my game getting to the point where I can sacrifice most of my horses to get the money to get a divine, over 820 days into the game. But ya know, this is just my experience with the game and these new features. And on top of that, these coats the are going to use for it are a disgrace to horses all over the world, to say the LEAST.... I will quit flat out if they are released as is.

I'm not even going to bother writing a long paragraph about the coats and the tack. To me, they're simply not worth the trouble. Some of them look nice, but others... Well.
default smiley (n) for this new idea update thingy.

Yep 100% agree. Of course it will be a pass option.
And if you do not put it on your skiller it will have to struggle even more against top GP horses.

Exactly Equistrienne.
Now we get to spend even more passes to fully tack up a good horse.

I simply hate what they have done to a lot of the breeds default smiley :-x
I like the curly.
The Knabs ugh needs another makeover. I love how they look now. No need to change them.
The Teke need to be more shiny. The lovely Marwari more shiny as well....as for some of the others

All right a little comparison...howrse artists please pay attention ....good lord.
To darn depressing to find pics of them all, but here are a few

Click to display
grief that is not an Icelandic horse...howrse artists

An Icelandic looks like so.......notice the difference anyone default smiley :-x
They have huge manes and tails...as in a LOT of hair. Their do not look like the above at all.

Thoroughbred do so NOT look like this

Gypsy Vanner - dang do not use that one. Its fine for the new draft horse, if we get it. But for a Vanner. No just NO

Friesian - needs MOARE hair...and it's black. Black NOT grey

Nokota...ugh

Quarter horse - is by far the worst makeover of the lot. What have you done to the poor horse. It literally makes me cringe
