As far as I understand it, (and I may be misunderstanding) it's basically reducing the variability in innate skills for foals where the parents' BLUPs are 100 - but only from the low end. Like you have a chance to roll a die to get a number between 76 and 78 for your foal's skills instead of 72 and 78. Fewer number of sides on the die, but they only dropped the low numbers so you have overall a better chance of rolling a high number.

Does anyone know if the horse breeder trophy counts ponies as horses? Also if you bred a donkey unicorn would that count for double trophies (donkey and unicorn) or only one of the two (or neither, but that would be a little odd)

From what people tested, all horses count for the horse breeder trophy, even specials. Donkey and draft unicorns will count for both the unicorn and their respective species trophy.

[spoiler] Does anyone know if the new breeder trophies will pick up where you are at, or if they will start from the point that they come out and on? Like, for example, if the trophy is "breed 1000 horses", will I have to breed 1000 more horses from now on, or will I already receive that trophy immediately once it comes out? Hopefully that makes sense LOL

It's retroactive for 1 year, as stated in the update. I don't know if it means a year from today or what, since they don't give solid numbers on the trophies but unless you just started today you should receive some trophies automatically, just not for the entire time you've been active if that's more than a year.

The event IS Time sensitive, so try to start as soon as you can to get to the end for free!

If you're going after the Divine, you might want to consider opening the 15-16 Crowns on Day 1 in case you luck out, so you can simply avoid the Fragment doors and go for easier ones. If you don't luck out, no big loss.

My suggested upgrade list is:
- Mandatory Bar
- Timer
- Strength
- Timer
- Strength
- Timer
- Strength
- Bar
- Bar

But you can go with whatever you wish, this is just what *I* found myself comfortable with.

So the wording for the breeding trophy requirements is a bit confusing to me with the retroactive part..do we have to breed all those in a year to get/keep the trophy or can it be done over several years? Wondering as I'm not a very competitive player so I don't breed very often and if those trophies reset each year I don't want to put more effort into breeding more if it won't matter.

It won't reset ever. Once you have the trophy, you have it. The "retroactive" refers to previous progress counting on the initial release. Sometimes when trophies come out, they count previous progress that was made before the trophy existed, and sometimes they don't and everyone has to start at square 1.

For this, they only counted *some* previous progress; a year's worth; so older players don't all have to start from scratch but there also isn't a huge gap between players with almost 20 years' seniority and players just starting out.

Ah okay thanks! The way it's worded made it sound like they would reset each year. Glad it doesn't reset I'd never get anywhere with those if it did.
