Community building?

What's the "friending" culture on Howrse? I see that there are a few things that having in-game friends could help with, but I haven't seen a lot of ways to interact with other players.

Howdy and welcome,

You can interact with people in events by clicking their piñata for example.
Finding friends is a topic for in the Events forum, not everyone feels the same way about accepting friend requests.

Other than that, you can chat with others through their Private messages (if they have them open), and in their EC forum.
