Can anyone explain this?

Why does this horse who is only 2 years old and never shown because its not old enough yet have all its skills bolded?

Hmmm, that's bizarre -- my best guess is that the Professional Trainer was used, but as I've never personally used that item, I can't be totally sure. I have one (Professional Trainer) in my inventory, but I'm honestly not sure how I got it default smiley (lol)

For context, the Professional Trainer is categorized as a BMI which "can complete your horse's training in the blink of an eye."

The professional trainer is most likely it, as the house has low enough gp to qualify for the item.

I wanted to add that there is another item called the champion's seed. It wouldn't apply here as the horse comes at 3 years old, but it's relevant as the horse comes fully bolded and with insanely high skills. It's why a lot of horses called "My Horse" are exactly 3 years of age and have skills three to four times their GP.

Combining water of youth and chronic timer for training moved things along very quickly. And an athenas medal will fully blup without competitions. Its been years since I skilled horses though. So i don't remember the exact ages u can reach everything.

These two things actually cancel each other out! WoY without a Timer would slow training down, Timer without a WoY would speed it up, and combining the two would keep training at the same pace. default smiley :)

We got the item in one of the last couple promos.

My guess would also be that the horse had the Professional Trainer used. I just tried it on the test server on a pony who is not quite 2 years old, and it bolded all her skills. There is nothing on her page to show the item was used (rather like Zeus' Lightning Bolt usages) except for the notation in her History List of "F 21989.23/4512.19's training is over!" with a little picture of the Professional Trainer icon.

It doesn't, you still have to do training, rides, and comps for the skill gain -- you just don't have to get any comp wins to BLUP the horse.

That's not quite how it works.

Water of youth ages your horse one month at a time but it doesnt slow down skill gain (you earn half the normal skills in one month), it slows down aging. A horse with WOY alone will earn the same amount of skills in a 2 month period as a horse without WOY.

A horse with a timer earns skills at twice the normal gain.

Chronos' Timer can be combined with the Water of Youth. This means the same amount of effort/aging points must be invested in the horse as a regular horse to obtain the same results, but the horse will only be half the age

Yes, you're correct -- I worded that poorly! default smiley :) I just meant it would take more time (more agings) to complete training w/ a WoY.

The Starry Aura items will also fully train your horse instantly and are often given in events, but I think the horse needs to be 3 to qualify for those.

You'd also know that the horse had been given that item, unlike the Pro Trainer, because Starry Auras change the horse's breed to "Star" and show a Starry Aura icon in the horse's item tray.

Example Starry Aura horse
