Daily Objectives: Tips & Tricks

Daily Objectives

You can now complete two daily objectives each day! Some players can earn equus and others passes, depending on your seniority level.

Find your daily objectives on the homepage of the game, which is the page you see after logging into the game.

Completing the daily objectives seven days in a row will give a Horn of Plenty ! You can check on your progress through the gauge bar directly from the “Daily Objectives” page.

Within this thread players who need help, want to help, or just would like to share their progression with the daily objectives are welcome to post here.

All forum rules apply.

Please note that if you want to discuss the feature itself or give feedback on it, we ask that you do so with the dedicated topic thread for new features here: A new year brings new features!

Warm Regards,

The Howrse Team

Is there any way to skip a daily objective? Because I can not breed a horse with positive BLUP or bring it up to positive numbers. How do I do that, or can I skip the objective?

Breed a horse with positive BLuP means that a horse born on your account has to have positive BLuP. Training and gaining skill from rides and competitions to contribute to the top three skills, winning competitions and aging the horse all contribute to blup. It's quite easy, it just takes some time and effort.

Look at your horse's. Find one that has your name as the producer (it was born on your account). Look at its genetics tab. See the harbour half way down with BLUP by it? It goes from -100 to +100? What's its BLUP? Now, do some training or comps, anything that gains skill. Put the horse to bed, age it and check the BLUP again. It will have gone up. All you need to do is increase the BLuP of that horse so it's positive. Above 0.

Ummm not quite. You need to have a horse. Anyone could've bred it. Train, ride, compete to get the BLUP above 0. Or, if you already own one, breed it with one of your mares (BLUP and breed don't matter) and the objective is complete. You need to be the one to cover your mare with the stallion, but neither have to be bred by you.

Hope my correction helps default smiley ;)

Usually, the objectives where you have to cover a mare, they 'say' cover a mare

For example
14 - make a covering offer - 500 points for general ranking
21 - Cover a mare - 1000e
77 - Cover a mare using a stallion with positive BLUP

Now, obviously I can't see for sure which objective the player was looking at but using the word bred makes me think bred as in the horse was born on your account. So if we presume it was this objective:

98 - Own a horse with Positive BLUP that you bred - 30passes

Then yes I was right. It must be a horse born on your account. Because I'm not actually guessing, I went through and did these objectives, and this is what validated it.

My objective today is to remove water of youth from a nonspecial horse, but I'm not sure how to remove it. I added one to a non-special horse for this objective and can't figure out how to remove it.
Go back to the horse's page. On the lower right side of the page, under the reproduction section, will be a new box with a green button that prompts you to remove the item to complete the objective. These boxes only appear when the appropriate objective is active

One of my objectives is to enter a horse in the Grand Prix. I entered one is Ow' Grand Prix several times, but it's not showing as completed. Any ideas?
Its not Ows grand Prix. That's a computer generated comp that appears automatically if there are no open comps of a certain type of difficulty.

The grand Prix is a special competition, results are collected and the best breeders after the week of comps get a reward. You can read about it in the Help manual.

If you are doing your beginner objectives you get access after doing 50 objectives. You unlock it and Emma comes back and walks you through entering step by step. Unfortunately the grand Prix doesn't run at the weekend so you'll have to wait til tomorrow to unlock it. It will be obvious what to do when you've done enough objectives to unlock it.

What's with these impossible ones at the moment (for me anyway)? The other day had to restart because it was equipt 2** black saddle cloth and didn't have one and now have win a rosette like I have a horse with that high of a skill.

They come round at random. It could seem like you're on a more difficult run, sometimes you get what for you are easier ones. You can still look into how you would get and train a horse capable of winning a rosette. Oh and keep your eyes open for 2* tack too.

Are there any events to get golden horseshoes at the moment? I have to complete that objective to get the direct sales to open as my other 2 objectives are to do with the direct sales.

This one is awkward because as you know we aren't allowed to advertise for things in the public forums. So what you could do would be to either put the request on your page and congratulate a whole load of your friends in the hope they see it a d gift you something, or make a pact with some friends that if any of you gets that objective, the others will help, or do what I did once, which was to randomly gift three friends and cross my fingers that one would read my mind and gift me something back. It worked thankfully!

Hi! I need some help with objective I think #49? It says "Display your general rank" I've clicked all over in ranks and cannot figure this out. Thanks in advance!
By Retired breeder, 25th March 2021 07:13:11
Oh I guess they're not numbered, I thought they were. Sorry. It says "display your position in general rankings." I've went and looked at many of the ranking categories, IE. General, wealth, etc.

on the general rankings page, there is a *show my position* button to click, to show your own position, and ranking score
