How to play?

Click to display
Complete the 4 territories by unlocking roads with your cards and win gifts!

To unlock and complete a road, you need to:

➞ Unlock the horse(s) needed for the different maps;

➞ Possess and use the right number and type of cards indicated on the road.

You can only complete a new road from a route that you have already unlocked. When you reach a new point on the map, you receive the associated gift.

Join and unlock the new horse on each map to unlock the next map and a new type of card.

End of event
Once you have won all the prizes, you can restart the event. All the gifts on the map can be won again, but you will need to unlock the horses again. You will keep all the cards you have already bought or won.

Card types

Click to display
There are five card types:

Plain Unlocked at the beginning of the event.
Forest Available when you unlock the related horse on a dedicated point on the previous map.
Desert Available when you have unlocked the related horse by finishing on the previous map.
Mountain Available when you have unlocked the related horse by finishing on the previous map.
Gift It cannot be used to complete a route. You get a random gift when you click on the card. It can be used whenever you want.

How to win cards?

Click to display
You can win cards by:

Connecting every day on the game, with a bonus if you log in 5 days in a row.

Taking your horses for rides (2x per day).

Entering competitions with your horses (2x per day).

Just to clarify, you dont get flint for completing the event? Or an Etrain horse in the etria event? Sure the etria horse will be in the sales, but you wont get one for completing the event?

Correct. To get Flint, you need to get fragments from the event/opening Tyche's Crown. The Etria themed horses for each level/environment are available as coats with the new Hiking Journal.

Hello,

I played the original Horse Adventure: Tale of Etria - Ubisoft app way back when and I really enjoyed myself. I got both Etrain and Wikalia through redemption codes in that game. I wish you would bring it back because it was my favorite horse riding game of all time. I loved being able to combine my love of gaming with my love of horses. Thank you for making that possible for me.

Best,

P.S. I wish you guys would design and build another app game based on howrse. I have been playing for a long time and I really loved the incentives your app game offered. I would definitely play a sequel game.default smiley (l)

the event's been open for a week and this is only the start of page 2, as far as i can tell this is the LEAST talked about event in history,

especially since most of the conversation in here isn't about the event itself and a large amount of what is about the event is about a glitch in the first days,

that said, looking at the prize list tells why people aren't in here praising the current event, just talking about past ones, coats don't make good "main" prizes, won't even be considering wasting passes on this one,

whatever i get for free is enough since everything on offer is stuff i already have in stock or don't even want (except the crown, GA & menagerie)

I'm fine with it actually? I'm gonna pick up some decent stuff, I think the reason there's not much chatter is cause there isn't really anything to strategize about, you just get cards, click the path you want, and win the prize for that path. Most of the other events require some level of strategy or at least discussion to see who's on target and who's not.

The Journals have been the main prize for this particular event for years now, so that's not new to this version.

I'm quite happy with everything. The event is good, and there are several prizes that are very valuable to me personally. I don't see anything to discuss beyond the clear and concise action plan.

I can tell you how, oh my God, I reached the Horse of Mountains today, and starting tomorrow I'll start saving up cards for the grand prize. I think I'll definitely make it.

I don’t care for the prize cards, the only good thing to win from those is the colored tack. I’d much rather get rid of the prize cards and exchange them for more location cards. I do like special coat collecting so those are the prizes I am aiming for.

Im just sad there's no horse at the end. Its just mostly stuff i can get in trades and the stuff that cant be traded i wont be making an effort to get because it just sits in my inventory never used.

I would like more journal bmi as I collect the different coats. It’s nice to have an event that is not time bar waiting and is not so intense.

I personally enjoy this event!! It’s laid back and doesn’t require any stress… You can win several great BMI & as a collector of coats, I’m always pretty happy with the different coats for prizes & if it’s something I already have and don’t want any duplicate copies - I just add them to a decent horse and sell it for equus or passes depending upon the item and rarity and demand.
I understand it’s not the most entertaining event we have but it’s still worth the effort to get the prizes.

Thanks to the Howrse team for keeping me entertained for all these years!! It’s my all time favorite game!!

instead of immediately getting all the prizes and restarting, I'm going to see if I collect enough of all the different unlocked levels to make a speed run at the end without having a bunch of leftover useless cards

i keep hoping in one of these versions they will let us trade-in useless cards for another type, whether it be a 2-1 swap or 1 plus (reasonable) equus swap Last time I think I had 17 useless blue cards

I'm on the Forest horse. I have 5 cards to use.

It won't let me go from the AP to the BO, which requires 5 cards.
It also won't let me go from the Kairos Dial to the Fragments. Again, needs 5 cards.

I've made it to the Studs and from the AP to the Dial.

What's the reason why I cant take either of these routes?

What colour cards do you have. Both those routes need the blue plains cards, not the green forest ones

I don't know.
There was a #5 in the circle on the picture of the forest horse.
How do you know what color the cards are?

Plains cards are blue
Forest cards are green
Desert cards are yellow
Mountain cards are purple

The cards will only open routes of the same colour
