The Crazy Friday sales!

HellOw everyone!

The Crazy Friday sales will return soon!

There are three different types of Sales:

Direct sales: Different horses will appear throughout the day, but only one of each will be available. The fastest wins the sale! Limited to one purchase every twelve hours.

Auctions: Place the highest bid in Equus to win the divine horse of your dreams! Limited to one purchase every twelve hours.

Reserved sales: Every eight hours, check out a new batch of horses in the Reserved sales tab. These horses will be available to you during this time only, with a limit of one purchase per horse, but you will have the possibility to buy one of each horse offered.

All Crazy Friday sales will be accessible from a separate dedicated hub to prevent any confusion with other sales happening at the same time.

Saffron fragments

With every purchase made during Crazy Friday, you'll earn points that will help fill up a loyalty meter. Reach different levels to get Saffron Fragments.

The sales will start on 2025-11-21 09:00 and will end on 2025-11-24 09:00.

This time matches the time zone chosen on your account.

⚠️ The full program of the sales will be shared when the sales begin.

Good luck,

I cannot help but think there should be an auction for new players, that aren't extremely rich. I understand it will require some tweaking, but the players that do not have a lot of millions to their name, deserve a chance at auctions as well.

I respectfully disagree with this. I could be considered a "new" player based on my seniority, yet I was still able to save up 40 million over the span of a few months. Cheaper auctions based on seniority wouldn't be fair to older players that saved up for months through hard work and sacrificing resources to get a higher reserve. Divines are also easier than ever to get, thanks to the trophies and ascent.

@Nalu93 @Asfridur

I see that other players have also encountered the issue I mentioned earlier. If you also experienced lag on Flash sales page, please take a moment to report it to Support! We need to make sure this gets the attention it deserves to prevent it from happening again.

Crazy how the game was able to schedule tonnes of direct sales this morning (euro time) but unable to do so the past few days default smiley (o)

Got away with a Love and blasted Hippidion (boooo). My screen flashed to reload but didn't load in that new Direct Sale fast enough and I ended up clicking on the wrong horse. I think that may have been me, not a server issue? I honestly don't know. But Kvezal, that's wild that you found that issue and thank you for looking into it.

Why on Earth were we offered divines that are given as trophy presents??? Not only did that frost me, but I also inadvertently got stuck with one. As a whole, the divine lineup seemed really weak, especially that even on the first day, we had horses sitting. I had saved up, saw the list, and just didn't care.
I agree with others that older sales should have a little space between them and the brand new sale to avoid mis-clicking and making my mistake.

My feedback is as follows.

I like that we get offered some divines in the Reserved section. However I find both the selection and the pricing a little all over the place.

My main gripe with the event (yet again!) is the extremely poor design for the Direct sales. Because the new divines appear on the spot where any unbought divines are, it is EXTREMELY easy to accidentally end up buying the wrong divine. I know it happened to several other players this year again, and it happened once again to me as well. I was aiming for Heracles, but the one I got was a duplicate, absolutely useless and unwanted Irene Adler for 1,399 wasted passes. That meant I could not pick up the two remaining divines I had planned out, because I did not have enough passes left for even one. That really stung, and I ended up skipping the rest of the event. I also did not feel like purchasing more passes when I know I run the risk of wasting them (and my real money) on yet another unwanted divine.

I am not well versed in the technicalities of the behind the scenes coding, but I agree there is a noticeable delay for Direct sales and that delay menas horses are bought by others "before they appear" for me.

It's a difficult enigma, isn't it.
Not saying they should have access to all divine in the auctions. But not all players are here to get rich. There has been so many threads from players asking how much money they need to enter and secure divine in auctions.
Some even mentioning they won't even try on INT, and have created an account on another less competitive server.
No matter what I guess it's a loosing battle, if your new here it will take some grinding to learn the ropes.

This year I actually got everything I was looking for, along with 2 extras. The direct were a real mixed bag, I had the exact times written out for the horses I was hoping for. So it took me 10+ tries for my first, about 7 tries for my second, and my bonus direct took I think 4 but that was yesterday, so he may have been in slightly less demand by then, or people were blocked from the sales for a 12h period. My last comment for the directs: maybe the last window shouldn’t be a 12 hour block. Maybe it should be shortened some, even if it was a ratio to the time left in sales. It would make it possible to maybe grab something else without waiting till the middle of the night.

The auctions seemed more feasible for me this year, I did have 2x the equus I did last year, but it was still only ~20mil, and I was able to stay in the running for a number of divines till multiple sets of 30 seconds ran by. I personally don’t like how long that can take, I get it finally means a player has to decide it’s not worth it to them to pay more, but I feel there should be a limit to how many times that can happen. Especially since it hops around on the auction page based off which sale has the most time left. Maybe there should only be 10-15 start overs of the 30 seconds so it spends a little less time cluttering the page. Also, were auctions always up so long before they ended? Having 45 minute time windows for a horse to sit there seemed bonkers. I don’t think every horse has that much time, but it was really weird to have them just sit there for that long. But all that said, I did end up with one this year, not for a great steal, but at least with game money and not ‘real’ money.

Finally the reserves: a disappointment for me this year. There were a lot of trophy divines(even if they are far in the future for me) and a number of Chimera which I don’t find worth spending that much on. They barely pay you back, the only bonus is the trophy and I don’t like how most of them look. Seeing as it’s our only guaranteed set of sales, I was a little bummed that less was of interest to me. I only mildly regret not picking up Libotonis the wind the other day. Overall it seemed like the prices in reserves were a bit less this year, but I think it was just the quality of horses there, not that the prices themselves are lower.

Not a bad weekend, but not a fantastic one either. The fragment rate you can win for Saffron was super low… I get some folks might have enough equus to really get points that way, but for 5 purchases. Between 990p-2100p and 10mil, to only walk away with 164 points towards her seems crazy. Her fragment rate in the TC was absolutely nutty too, but since I already have her from the packs last year, it didn’t make much difference to me.

Last year I was definitely more of a buyer, this year settled on two Xmas divines in the reserved sales. Not for lack of passes; just didn’t see anything that really caught my eye or that I really wanted. Contemplated completing my wind divines collection but wasn’t committed enough to that to wait for them to come on the direct sales. I did want Oyster Mushroom, but missed him.

The pricing for the two I got was fair, but the selections this year were (in my opinion) not very captivating.

Looking forward to Xmas packs again default smiley :)

A lot of horses offered in the sales I had already so was not going to waste passes, as for
the auctions I gave up the prices were quite frankly silly, in the end I managed to buy two from direct sales and four in reserve sales, the horses that I would not buy at all were Sherlock Holmes, Stellar and the Spice horses also Chimera as I had those already.
On the whole I was happy with my purchases.

Feedback specifically for chimeras (pet horses too):

the 'discounted rate' really isn't a discount when it's a net loss of passes. Given that these divines can MAX earn 770p over their life, and a little less than that for any normal player that doesnt want to completely drain their equus reserve to tame quickly, 793p in direct sales for a chimera is typically a net loss of 33-43p, depending on how long a player takes to tame it. Even the 749p cost in reserved isn't really worth it. If you have a divine that can offer a finite amount of passes such as those, make it worth it.

Well what a crazy Friday weekend. I started with ~18000 passes and 27 million equus.

Over the course of the weekend I got multiple flash sales and I believe 3 or 4 auctions. None of the auctions were over 9 million equus (yes I was patient and knew what I wanted) I got 1 Cernunnos, 1 Blue Hypergiant, 1 Cumin, 2 Hydruntine and 3 Merry Christmas through direct buys and auctions.

As for reserved sales I was able to pick up Epona, Wesolych Swait, Buon Natale and Tumeric.

I still have 7 million equus and about 5k passes left.

I can say i really appreciated the variety of horses from top to bottom and the ability to buy from multiple different levels.

If this is how its going to be moving forward I can't wait until next year.

I finally got one I've been waiting impatiently to see come back for ages as well as several others. A few duplicates and a couple new; even managed to get a couple in the directs. I was pleased with prices overall.

My biggest complaint is the amount of trophy divines in the reserved sales. If you must flood the sales with ones we can get for free put them in the directs or auctions. Save the reserved sales for ones we will *want* to spend the passes on. There were more than a few in the directs that I would have loved to pick up but slower internet, working weekends, and most importantly them being more desirable made impossible. Since this is turning more into a money grab all the time let me put it in terms that will be understood. I would have likely spend a *minimum* of 4500- 5000 passes more if the reserved sales had less trophy divines and more love, egyptian, and japanese. That's at the very least two 2200 pass packs. Now multiply that by countless others who are also unwilling to spend money/passes on something they will get or have gotten for free.

which divines are considered "trophy divines"

A combination of a good internet speed and a new laptop helped me to get a few from the direct sales this year. That plus a couple from the reserves gave me a good year.

Trophy divines are the ones rewarded from earning trophies
Rongo, Tianma, Skinfaxi, Arvakr, and , Alsvidr were all offered in Reserved Sales, and they're all rewarded from earning trophies.

The last two are up on the higher levels, so will take a long time for newer players to obtain, but still

I wasn’t very happy with the offerings in the reserved sales, would like to have seen maybe a metal or a gemstone but I did get Cinderella and an extra Turmeric.

What I was happy about was that I actually won a Divine in the auctions for the first time ever in the Black Friday sales. Never ever thought that would happen!

I also managed to snag what I wanted in directs which I normally never do as I have slow internet.

So overall I’m happy with what I got but next year would like to see more exciting choices in the reserved sales.

I thought everything ran well this year, at least on the PC. I will say that playing on mobile seemed much tougher. I had a lot of trouble hitting just the right spot to bid and ended up on the horse's page more often than not. The only other thing that I was a little irked by was I was dumb and missed a couple of reserved sales I wanted because I looked at the banner (on this thread) rather than the program and the times are listed incorrectly. Missing those horses also caused me to fall short of the 500 frags for Saffron which was a bummer. Overall, I can't complain about my new crew though.

I agree and disagree. It would be nice to have another chance to pick something up from directs. But the wondow should stay the same for the auctions because that last 12hr window on the last day is the best time for poor players to catch a few divines from auctions. Because by then, many of the rich players became poor, so the poor players actually have a chance to win something vs the practically 0 chance of winning anything on day 1 because pf all the rich players. And I'm disagreeing primarily because *most* of the rich players would have used up their resources, but not all of them. Having someone with 10s or 100s of millions of equus coming back in those last few hours could stop the poor player's from winning cheap auctions when their chances of winning are at the highest.
If you're not interested in spending ages in a bidding war, then push the bid up by a few million and see if there's anyone still interested. That usually gets rid of the competition. If someone finds the divine worth the price, then they'll keep bidding. Otherwise, they'll drop out.

amn127 wrote:

I disagree 100% and I personally hope that this change never happens. The whole point of the auctions is for the highest bidder to win. In fact, we didn't have the 30s reset in the past, so it used to be set up in a way that allowed the last bidder to win rather than the highest bidder. That's why they added the 30s period. Adding a cap to the number of repeats will backtrack us right into 'the last bidder wins' and that is just not how auctions work.

My feedback:

Directs:
Click to display
- I agree with whoever said that the direct sales should be like a minute long reserved sale. But make it 5s instead, so there will still be a reason for people to try again for the next appearance of a divine. So let everyone who clicks 'buy' in the first 5s of the sale get the divine and then the rest will have to try again next time. That way, more players get the divine and the slow ones will still need to hang around to try again. Maybe make it 10s at the most to account for slow internet loading, but to still lock forgetful players out of that specific sale.

- Last year, the sales were clogged up by fragments that nobody wanted. This year, they were clogged up by divines that nobody wanted. Either cap the number of copies of a divine that can hang around the sales or add an expiry time so that it'll disappear after 30mins or something and it won't clog the sales.

- Maybe limit the number of copies of a divine we can buy if you're not going to do the short reserved sales idea. So we can only buy 3 copies of each divine in directs. Because it's not fair that specific players get to hog all the copies of specific divines just because their connection speed allows them to.

- Fix the prices on your expiry date perk divines like the chimeras. You can't seriously expect me to buy them for more than what they're worth.

- Leave the sale price up after the divine was sold so that we can see how much it costs. It's ridiculous that we need to run to the forums to check the price because divines don't even pop up most of the time.

Auctions:
Click to display
- In a way, I think they're fine as they are. Players who have been around and saved up resources deserve to have an advantage over newer players or players who didn't save. If someone with a seniority of 100 days had the same amount of resources as someone with a seniority of 1000 days, then this game would be incredibly unfair and not worth playing. Rich players who saved deserve to outbid poor players who didn't. Poor players and new players should pay up if they want to have the same level of resources. The auctions are structured to let the highest bidder win, and that's exactly how they should stay. If that irritates you, then tough. Deal with it and do better next year. You know what to expect now, so prepare properly.

- I agree that the horses shouldn't be up for 40mins. The reality is that the bidding only picks up in the last 1-2mins of the sale, and then it drags out the sale for another 10mins because of the timer reset. So just cut the waste of time sitting around out and leave the divine up for 10mins so that players have enough time to login and get to the sales page and immediately start bidding on the divines. Why do I need to login twice - once to check the auction duration and again at the end to bid - to win an auction? You're just wasting our time and making us stay up for hours for no reason. This would also allow there to be more divines offered in auctions because they won't be sitting around there for an hour. Or is that why you made them sit around for so long - to limit the number of divines offered? I'm not happy about all the sleep I lost and the time I wasted waiting for the bidding wars to start, just to end up losing the auction anyway.

- There should be an option to cancel your bid if you bid on the wrong horse because it locks you out of the sale you're actually trying to win unless someone outbids you. Either that or quit moving the sales around every time we refresh so we can bid in the same place and have it be on the same horse each time.

- Again, limit the number of copies of each divine we can buy. I'm shooting myself in the foot saying this... but I'm also tired of watching 1 rich player hog all the copies of the divine that I'm trying to win in auctions. It's nice to buy multiple of what you like. But it also locks all the other players out of buying it. And don't even try to argue with me by saying that they're up throughout the day. The reality is that timezones exist. Real life exists. We need sleep and we need to tend to our responsibilities. We CANNOT sit here staring at the sales 24hrs a day to win a divine just because someone else is hogging all the copies of it and that someone else is online at the same time as you. Because we cannot be online for 24hrs a day. Especially if you insist on these 40 minute prebidding timers.

- It would be nice if we could still observe the auctions even though we're locked out. It's kind of important that we get to see how much each divine goes for because it tells us how much we should expect to spend on it before people decide that it's too expensive. And that basis determines how much equus we save up and how we decide to spend it over the weekend. That and it's entertaining to watch the wars...

Reserveds:
Click to display
- You can't seriously be pricing pets/chimeras/wilds at more than what they give back on black friday and expect us to buy them...? Sorry to break it to you, but I won't even spend more than 400p trying to get one from the items... IF I even decide to spend passes on them. They're not worth it, period. If I can't get them from inventory HoPs or free in an event, then I just don't bother with them. Price them at 200p each and I'll reconsider.

- Again, some equus sales would be nice. Then poor players who can’t win anything in auctions can still buy something with their equus. Maybe let the last reserve sale slot be equus only sales so we can dump our leftover equus on a few extra divines if there's still leftover from auctions.

- I didn't notice it until I read the comments because I don't care about your trophy system, but you really shouldn't be putting free divines in reserveds and asking us to pay passes for them. I agree with everyone else on that... this makes me too scared to ask you how low you can go because I actually fear the answer. That's pathetic. Don't do it again. Or if you do, then they should cost equus or they should be 500p max. Because we can get them for FREE from the trophies. Not that I'm going to bother with the trophies anytime soon because I still refuse to care about them until you put our collections back on our pages default smiley (li)

- FIX YOUR CHIMERA/PET/WILD PRICES.

- Give us the prices for all the divines in reserveds and directs so that we can plan how to best distribute our passes in advance.

- Your loyalty meter is too expensive. I barely managed to get to the 2nd checkpoint, and I wouldn't have made it without that last auction. The fact that I almost fell 23 points short of the 2nd checkpoint even after I spent a my passes is absurd. At least give me a reasonable number of fragments for the passes I spent, because I spent enough to gather at least 400 fragments from TCs, yet I almost ended up with only 100 fragments from your loyalty meter if it wasn't for that last auction? That's ridiculous. What's the point of the meter if we don't actually win stuff from it? Just to discourage us from spending more because we know that we won't hit the next checkpoint even if we spend everything? Which leads me to the next point:

- The lineup was horrendous. There were maybe 5 or 6 divines that I was actually interested in... last year, there were solars, rainbows, mythologicals etc. This year, the best thing was seth, hippogriff and some spices. This was so lackluster that I didn't even get anxious about the sales. And it shows in the price because we had bidding wars above 100mil last year, and this year I didn't see any above 40mil. I think someone said that the max was about 70 or 80mil. Do better next time. The only reason that I'm not annoyed right now is because I didn't accidentally pick up a junk divine. But believe me when I say that I'd be complaining if I did. I hate wasting passes, and if those passes cost me one of the divines that I'm actually interested in, then contact us wouldn't hear the end of it default smiley (lol) At least make sure that the accidental clicks are somewhat worth it... plus the lineup was so bad that I almost opted out of the sale completely just by looking at it. Luckily there were spices around to hold my interest.
And no, I'm not going to buy junk divines just to reach a checkpoint on your loyalty meter. If there are no divines of interest, then I simply won't participate in the sale. I'd rather cough up for the TCs directly.

Overall, I'm happy with what I got from the sale because I didn't waste a single pass. But the mechanics need some revision and you should do a survey or something to figure out which divines players actually want to see in the lineup. Then just looking at the lineup won't put me off the sale...

Oops. I wrote another in-depth essay default smiley (lol)

Bad run for me this year. Ended up with just Kabuki, Irene Adler and Cerunnos who I mistakenly thought dropped Tears instead of a Water of Youth, so I can't even use him.

Honestly don't know if I'll do it again next year.
