May Packs content

HellOw!

The May Packs are back!

We have new divine horses and new offers that await you on Howrse from May 16th to June 6th.

As we usually do, we are introducing them a bit earlier, so you have enough time to see what is in each pack, and plan which one(s) you would like to get.

Please note that prices will only be displayed once the packs go on sale, as they depend on your country and currency.

Enough words, let's have a closer look!

Was there not a pack last year that was a one use only type one? Or was that a glitch of some sort?

Most likely for 2 of them. On the previous page, AmazingOw has a link to the divines that can be chosen if you get the deluxe pack - Pulsar is listed in the Stellar horses section, she gives a Nyx pack. The other 2, Udenian and Russula, aren't listed anywhere yet

I don't see Pulsar listed in there; just the currently released ones. And the Stellar series already has a divine that gives a Nyx Pack?

I'd guess the Heracles Privilege is along the same lines of other types privileges but that's a guess really

Do the deluxe pack bundle come with the same features? By this I mean 2 companion chests, Athena’s medal as as privileges?

I'm suspending judgement until I get to see Heracles Privilege's description, but if it is what the name implies, I strongly disagree with the move that makes the Prix exponentially more pay to win and sets a concerning precedent for the competitive side of the game in general.

As someone who very rarely spends money on this game, I recognize that Howrse is listening to the feedback of those who generate the most revenue, and don't disagree with that from a business standpoint, but I think from the Heracles Horseshoe's release to now the introduction of the privilege is trending towards deepening the divide between occasional spenders and people spending thousands for every pack release, let alone f2p players who are left in the dust entirely.

I remember when it was introduced simply as an event item, with equal access for every player, before the Cinderella release sent a lot of TB prix players into a panic to spend hundreds to have greater access than others to the gallop Heracles.

To now destroy all that so many players had spend previously on Cinderella and make the Heracles as disposable as an Aphrodite's Tears disrespects people who are spending plenty on the game already, instead forcing them to convert to the biggest spenders who buy multiple packs every cycle or fall behind.

Having been on countless Prix teams in the past, I've seen all the players who spend thousands of passes a week to buy horses from us, doubtlessly filling Howrse's pockets to do so, and yet those who don't also purchase these packs are no longer going to as consistently make top Prix placements as those who do. Ultimately, when this or Howrse's next ploy to ruin Prix drives these players away, that in term demotivates competitive players, who are making up the bulk of Howrse's revenue and activity.

Howrse isn't alive today only as a result of the select <50 players who spend their paycheque in full on the game every two weeks. Where would this game be without players who save up to buy a single Christmas pack every year and won't have enough to buy something this May, players who use their UFO offers once every few months, players who only spend every few years but clock their hours playing regardless?

I would love to find out tomorrow that the Heracles Privilege turned out to be a worthless gimmick, but if it does turn out to be what it seems, I think this is what's going to permanently ruin my favorite aspect of this game.

I see your point, I would just like to add that Howrse has put the Heracles Horseshoe in the Black Market before, and prices them at 60p, the price of a Button Plait.

So they *already are* something tiny (albeit rare!). *They* priced them default smiley :)

-to be fair that goes for some of the trophies being impossible to ever get due to teams being so competitive for the grand prix. As a player who has never gotten the honor to be on a team before I am saddened that I can't keep up with the teams who can spend all waking day on here increasing skillers. I had a dream goal to skill a horse to be a grand prix winner. I know it's never gonna happen. Some things we need to just let go. It is what it is. Most people I know who play this game don't anymore cause you don't get anywhere individually anymore.
