Epona, Yvain, and Fuji are my priority. Amber, Arthur, and Athos would also be nice, but I am on a tight budget, so they might not make the cut.

Fuji is my big ticket for sure. I love him so much. Opal might also be nice but he's bound to be overpriced I fear.

All in all, nice default smiley (y)

Euronotus is the last wind divine I need so he will definitely be on my shopping list. There’s a few maybes as well, but will wait to see the prices. I far prefer reserved sales like this - you know exactly what it’s going to cost and you can decide if it’s worth it or not. Can’t bear trying to win through luck items default smiley :@

It would be nice if we could have prices in advance. I have made a decent size purchase with the pass ufos this weekend, but it's still not much as far as how expensive these sales can be. I would say "yes" to way more if I knew just how much it was going to cost, but I have to go based on judgement and the first day, as it's hard to budget when you don't know what you are going to be able to afford.

I'm looking at Apophis and Celeris ... the others I'm interested in I think I'd prefer to wait and see if they come up in the Ascent or luck items because I have quite a lot of fragments for a chunk of them and I bet we don't get discounted rates based on that default smiley xd

What's the drop rate comparison between quartz, opal, celeris and amber?

I'm so happy that the big ones that I want are not being offered here because I have a bunch of items saved up to try for them and very limited amounts of passes default smiley (lol)

Celeris is every 8/9 days.
Amber I've read drops every 4 days.
Opal is the most generous among the Gems with random 10p drops, between about 40 and 150 passes a month.
Quartz is between 10 and 110 passes a month.

Thanks opıɐu∀! Looks like Opal's the best of the lot... if he's too expensive then I'll keep saving for the big ones - celeris doesn't drop frequently enough to be of interest to me. But 3k for Opal is a lot...

May I suggest that you keep saving your passes then? This is really just a rant about saving for black Friday though.

These prices seem to be slightly higher than black Friday. If you don't have a decent pass income then don't splurge yet because black Friday will give you the cheapest prices that you'll get without lucking out on an item and there's always pass droppers on offer. They added a reserved sales last year as well, so if you can save enough then you'll definitely get something. Black Friday isn't an event that you can enter with no passes unless you're okay with missing out. It also offers divine auctions for equus, but don't expect anything more than a chimera from those because good divines usually go for 40+ MILLION equus per divine. I've seen a few go for more than 100mil equus too- Anyways, my point is that you need to prepare in advance, especially if you have no income.

Of course, you can always luck out on them through the items if the Howrse gods favour you. It's just a rare occurrence and divines tend to be cheapest in the reserved sales. And trying for them in the items every time you get to 200p is futile 99% of the time because it usually takes 3 or 4 tries to luck out and that's IF you luck out. You could spend that 800p on a zodiac or something on black Friday and be guaranteed a divine instead of splurging on items just to end up with 1 lyre and a bunch of whips to show for it. Or save a bit more and get a rainbow for 2k or something else that you want. I haven't seen anything that costed more than 4k on black friday (except the new divine in the TC) and I think the average price was about 1.5-2.2k per divine with a few good ones costing a bit more. Those are the chespest prices that you'll get without lucking out. And the low tier divines like zodiacs and greyfell cost less than 1k as long as it's not a female greyfell.

I'm only suggesting this because it's better to start saving sooner rather than later if you don't have a reliable income. And if Howrse skips black Friday for any weird reason, you'll still be able to splurge on the items. Or just save the passes and splurge them on the Christmas event, although the selection of divines offered there is far smaller than black Friday and there's no guarantee that there'll be anything decent. I know that I skipped the Christmas event 2(?) years ago because the divines were all junk and I expect that to happen again, mostly because I'm only interested in some divines and I won't just go for something because it was offered. I'd rather wait for something worthwhile because those are usually expensive, so saving is beneficial.

Although Howrse could always increase the cost of divines on black Friday if they feel like it.

My meagre excel spreadsheet suggests around 20 days (each prize is generally every third time, so in theory the HoP is every 60 days)

I'm happy to be corrected, but that is the data I've collected from the Epona I have!

I bought Amber even though it was a little more expensive than expected. I'm curious how much Opal will cost.

Is Arthur worth it if I don’t already have any Grail divines to help with the quest?

I've only been able to get one and I got Thor due to the fact I can really utilise having the bolts (most of my foals are colts default smiley xd ).

Really wish this would've happened at/after payday though as I wouldve happily put some money into getting the others I have been wanting for a while now but oh well.

I don't have his point requirement written down, but it does take awhile to get the Staff if he's the only you have.

If you like playing the Ascent, it may be better to wait until he's offered in that, as it'll be much cheaper to get him there. The Grails are frequently offered in the Ascent.

If you only have Arthur, it’ll take you 104 days to get his reward.

You need 10,400 XP (points) and can earn a maximum of 100 XP per day from
- Train one of your horses in jumping- 15 XP
- Win a competition with Arthur - 50 XP
- Win a competition with Pendragon - 100 XP

You’ll either need Arthur or Pendragon (if you own him) to be capable of winning competitions, or you’ll need a steady supply of horses that you can train in jumping.
