Poll

5s all around

The great challange is always a fun little daily quest and had satisfying rewards.

I adore the snowball fight. 5 Aph's tears, 5 Achilles heels, and 9 Kairos dials, not to mention a bunch of other stuff for absolutely free and extraordinarily little effort and extraordinarily few equus spent I will never complain about.

98 prizes between the two is wild (I think I missed 2 snowballs total?).

Thanks so much!

My only complaint is: Why did I get so many Kairos Dials?default smiley (o)

I was very happy with the contest and snowball fight, and the prizes I received. I did pay extra during the challenge, but the prizes won were worth it.

Not even three days for me before the whole thing was done. Waste of time. Oh, and the bait then switch of 6 Snowballs a day to 4 a day after the first day was wrong. default smiley :@

Did you start playing late? We had almost a week for the Snowball battle, as it started on February 27 and lasted until March 4.

There were 4 snowballs per each 8 hour round, and we had 3 rounds per day, for a total of 12 snowballs per day. You had to come back during each round to catch the snowballs.

This event was ok, the snowball fight prizes were awful! I kept getting aging points and low value items. Maybe it was just me, but I thought I could send the items to other players?

Got through the Great Challenge without difficulty, although I didn't bother with the premium key, so didn't get those prizes. Liked that I could get all 100 horse shoes through normal game play and didn't have to do anything special or go out of my way to get the full amount.

As for the snowballs, I knew going in that I was unlikely to rank high enough to win anything great at the end, so kept most of the prizes and was fairly pleased with most of them. Got a Harmony pack, a couple of HoPs and some other BMIs that I find useful (Artemis' Arrows, for example). The cardinal pinata companion showed up far more often than I would have liked, as I'm already swamped with companions and the bonus on the cardinal is poor, so those I traded away.

That being said, the snowballs interfered with my game play by floating by at the WORST possible times and NEVER when I was actively seeking them to get them over with and focus on other thingsdefault smiley :k

I thought the snowball animations were quite cute; I liked the different faces especially as they represented some emoji's. default smiley (y)

I think the prizes needed a bit of editing in a few ways. One was that I would always get the same prizes over and over, and most of them had low point values. This made it very difficult for me to progress in the competition. Secondly, because of this, I would never get the better BM prizes, such as the Hera pack. So, I don't know if this is done by chance, or if it's just random, but if it is done by chance, then I think there is less than 1% probability of obtaining the better prizes.

One more thing, sometimes it would take a while for a snowball to appear. Normally I wouldn't mind this, but as I was in a rush sometimes when I came on, I found this very annoying. As I didn't want to waste any snowballs, instead I ended up waiting up to about 30 minutes just to find all four snowballs and I kept refreshing and switching between pages. default smiley (n)

I didn't super understand the snowball contest. It didn't seem possible to progress in a manner meaningful to the contest without giving up every prize, so I pretty quickly gave up on progressing in ranking and just kept the prizes.

I liked the great challenge a lot. It was low key but still rewarded engaging in the game.

I wish we could rate the GC & the snowball fight separately. You'd see a big difference in the outcome I'm sure. I kind of like the GC, but I hate the snowball fight as you just can't get anywhere even giving away everything you get because to improve you ranking you have to have those disc things to improve things so you would need to buy them eventually & I just don't have the passes to do that & I can't spend money on passes. I am on Disability/Social Security & have health issues I am dealing with that require my money & then some. This is suppose to be my way to relax & it not if to win something nice I have to spend money.

As others have said, PLEASE ask for separate ratings of these two part games and you would get a more correct result.
I like the first part. Getting rewards for things that are actually part of "the real" game of Howrse is great rather than having to perform actions totally separate. With some effort, achieving the goal is completely doable.
I detest the snowball fight. With a LOT of work you can win the two lowest prizes. If, as I did, you only maintain enough points to win the lowest prize and then keep others of what you find in the snowballs, you do get quite a few prizes, but I suspect, for most people who have been playing this game for very long, the equus and fodder are not overly to be desired, and, really, how many little bird pinatas do you really need?
My suggestion for part 2 is more, and MUCH more achievable, levels for those collecting points, and more variety for those who want to keep the snowballs.
