Hello everyone,

I was wondering the other day what some of your favorite horse names are.

So I've decided to open a topic about that, BUT there are a few rules:

➞ You can post your 5 favourite names per message!
➞ If you have more than 5 favorite names, you can post them on a different message.

I'm gonna go with RL horses for this one

1) Flash Dance-a gelding Quarter Horse
2) Yule Be Sorry- An Arabian/Appy mix
3) Paradox- a Dutch Warmblood
4) Rameses Gold- Arabian
5) Trick My Treat- a Thoughbred

3 are horses i own, and 2 are horses i'm buying

I tend to use names from the country of origin of the breed, whether it's for dogs or horses or whatever. For example, my foundy mare is an arabian and I named her Ablah which is arabic for "perfectly formed". This is also then the name of my breeding farm (to be). Her daughter has a call name of "Hessa" (HEH-saw) meaning "Destiny".

I search for names on Google. If you had an Irish hunter for example you find some Gaelic/Celtic names or something.

These are the horses I occasionally work at a barn near me, the last one refers to a large chesnut pony that was great for fixing your canter seat. When he came to the barn, we tried to shorten his show name but the barn name his previous owners gave stuck. He will run the fence if you call him, he cute. default smiley :p

I have been into goddesses names so my favorites are~

Άφροδίτη meaning APHRODITE the goddess of love
Αφροδίσια meaning APHRODISIA meaning risen from the foam
Δημήτηρ meaning DEMETER Da-mater, meaning "earth mother.
Ποσειδῶν meaning POSEIDÔN meaning "lord, husband." In mythology, this is the name of a god of horses and the sea, known as the "earth-shaker."

Those are my four favorites of right now. They are not ones you see everywere which makes them unique & my favorites.
