A few tips for everyone who needs or wants more friends:

* Start congratulating other players, they will likely return the favor
* Send messages, if people 'know' you a bit better they mostly will say yes to a friend's request (mind you, a message is something more than: Hi, add me)
* Don't wait for others to add you, start adding friends yourself (the worst that could happen is they say no... nobody gets hurt and they won't bite you)
* You find names of other players all over Howrse: in the forums, on your daily congratulations round (what, you don't do that yet? Start now!), the owners of the horses that are boarded in your EC, the owners of the Xanthosses and Topazzes you stroke every day, etcetera. You're only 1 click away from a congratulation!
