The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Just wanted to drop in and say that I do NOT have a problem with hoarding Morgan foundies. Do not listen to the 71 horses and 2 unicorns. Gee, is it that many?!

Only 71? I'm up to 162 default smiley :'( default smiley xd I'm aiming for 240.

Just checked my hoard and I have almost 500 original foundation Morgans. I did not think the number was that high but the numbers tell me otherwise. I have no idea how many have their wins and how many don't. It's one thing I'm working on. Slowly.

I just checked my OG farm. Looks like I have zero of the original Morgans O_O
Surely that can't be right O_O

Or maybe it can - like I vaguely recall only having one pair of Morgans, them being unis O_O

They are crazy rare I believe? Or at least the are for me

When they were released there were many, many of them. So many Morgans running around, which I think is why I ended up with so many. I remember Marwaris and Brumby and... Shetlands, but at one point there were so many. The same thing happened when Shagya Arabians and Lippizans were introduced, too.

That's a real shame - I somehow completely missed their release. Same with the Russian Dons.

Might have been before I created this account, or maybe heavens forbid NIB was not something I focused on back then default smiley (lol)

I deleted my previous account well pre 2011 and too a break from the game, before picking it up again.

The original Morgans were released in 2009. I think the breeds came once a month or once every couple weeks back then. I have a few with some other DOBs from 2015 so I'm not sure where they came from, possibly they were put into the Gaia stone? Maybe? It's been a long time at least.

Shetlands, Barb, Brumby, Marwari, Morgan and Pasos were all released together iirc.

And I have very hazy memory of how exactly, but I think everyone got one at random?

Guess it's time to deep dive this thread...

We had a "World tour event" where we had to answer various quizzes and questions. If we got them all correctly, we'd get the foundie of the region of the week default smiley :)

Speaking of Pasos, my 92 foundation unis are finally all 100 blup. default smiley <:o)

I just rarely have time to do anything lately, work is an energy drain for sure. default smiley (d)

I knew I missed a few. Paso and Barb! I should have remembered the Barb, they're one of my other favourite breeds on the game.

Congrats HYDEIST! That is amazing!

I'm doing the long slow haul with some OG Morgans, and I forgot how weird the comps can be at times.

No wonder I missed those foundies then.

Hello NIB breeders! I am unable to sell my newish rolling foundation TBs but am planning to sell their offspring once I get them fully Blupped. If anyone is looking for fresh TB blood and doesn't care about GP changes feel free to PM so I can throw a foal in reserved sales for you. Otherwise they'll be in auctions or direct default smiley :)

I thought the Morgans, Shetlands, Pasos, and Brumbies and Barbs were released around the time those card packs came out? About the time the Friz Unis came out? But I sold the Morgans to nlriver all the way back in the day and one of them I was a breeder for. I can ask Tayba for when they got released. She'd remember.

To think I was around for many of non starter breeds back then. But the release of the Morgans, Shetlands, Brumbies and Barbs, is about when I got into NIBing. So talk about a throwback conversation. default smiley (lol)

Just a reminder for more seasoned NIBers, as well as informing the newer ones, Yankee Lady had to give up her TESF Stallions Original Foundations due to health reasons. I took over 121 of them. If anyone needs a cover from a foundation stallion, you're welcome to check out these stallions in the Foundation Breeds farm. Scroll down to TESF Stallions Original Found. You'll find pony and horse breeds there.

I don't know who took responsibility of other breeds. I think, Storms Ransome took on the foundation Appaloosas. Someone please correct me if this is incorrect.

I also have foundation breeds that aren't listed in that breeding farm in other farms. Can't find what you need, shoot me a pm and I'll help you find them.

btw I'm always looking for black foundation Arabians. Just let me know and we'll work out a deal. default smiley ;)

I do have the Appies still. I keep forgetting to make them their own tab to make it easier to find them buried in the midst of all my other ones.

I am now down to 2 OG Arabs required so I can finish off a small side project, and slowly getting a handful more Morgans blupped.

How is everyone else getting on at the moment?

I’ve got enough GSH for my project but can’t seem to stop buying them haha.

My smaller Aus Pony projects are slow, the OG’s are slow to blup and I only have RG males for now so I’m not rushing into it.

Slow and steady progress on my Fjords. I'm almost finished BLUPping the ones I have, which is a good feeling!

Slow and steady with my projects! Still jumping around quiet a bit, so all projects get looked over at least a little each month.

Holsties have all forest and mountain rides done! Most are in training, then I try to get their beach rides done as soon as possible.

Haflinger project is gaining in numbers. Almost to my nine generation goal. Most are 6 months, so trying to at least get all to gaming age at this point.

I have finally decided the Newfies will be a 60 BLUP project, so have been plugging along there.

My Chincoteagues have been a steady project lately, I really want to get that one done.

My line breeding Knab project is coming along nicely, will be producing a fourth gen soon. Nice break from the traditional pyramid breeding.

The Newfiecorns, Marwari, and RG Holsties have been getting very attention lately, and really need some loving. I'll be jumping on them soon to keep the dust at bay.

Standardbreds are moving along nicely, I have an even male to female ratio. Trying to get all the ones I want to 100 BLUP, then I will fly through the 60 BLUPs. Goal is to pair a 100 BLUP to a 60.

Finished with my GSH breeding stock, and will be tying others NIB lines into it, just for fun.

I think that is it... did I miss any? Probably. My name is LJ and I have NIB addiction default smiley xd

I've been so busy that I'm stalled right now. I've kind of become more of a collector at this point. I feel bad for all of my Hanos just sitting there. My goal is to eventually get to at least a 5th gen. I've been trying to get Athena's Medals during events. I'll hop on and work several divines and then a couple of my foundation Hanos.

Don’t feel bad Axel’sMommy.
I’ve been offline here myself for several days.
Grabbing the medals as well when I can. Use them on my Dons.

Also hoping to one day finish the lines
