[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

My new 67 use RC!

Bought the one RC coat I liked from the February release. I'm honestly not sure what's going on with the mane, but it looks nice.

That moment when you start to wonder if your RC collection is a good start, or just a random pile of RC horses. XD

And newest Pre-CS
Today I glanced through coats I've had for a while, and I realized a bunch dropped like 5 or 10 uses in the past month default smiley (lol) default smiley :o Anyone else have this same thing happen?

People are dropping out of the game big time. Every week the numbers go down. I've never seen the numbers go up.

default smiley (lol) sadly i have on more than one occasion when slightly unscrupulous individuals buy a bunch of same coats and kill a load off to heighten rarity (back when coats had some resale value i might add) to get a better price for their low use coat, then low and behold a day or two later they are selling another copy and the numbers seem to be multiplying default smiley :@

Note to anyone thinking of jumping on the band wagon, that ship has sailed and these types of players tend to 'go out of business' shall we say, as no one likes being took for a mug and word gets around! Collectors generally tend to stick together when it comes to the crunch. x

@ haffyfan

What I meant by my statement, was the numbers of the players on the game. Those numbers always go down. They need to give people a much better gift for recruiting people into the game. Though there would be plenty just making tons of accounts to get those prizes.

But I agree. People who kill off coats to try and sell them for a lot more in sales, they do get a bad reputation, and collectors do tend to stay away.

Good thing the good old days are over and players can't retire their coats, then unretired them to sell a few more, then re-retire. That was messy.

I didn't collect as much back then, though I wish I had. So many lost opportunities. Now it's hard to even find a coat in sales that I don't have. It's been over an over a month dry spell I think.

A lot of you probably already know this, but ladylouroll is leaving the game. default smiley :(

She already has an heir so I wouldn't bother her with that. It's sad to see one of the best collectors of the game leave, but I totally understand why. All hail ladylouroll!!!!

(My two cents)
While I am glad creators can't reopen coats after they are retired I am a little sad too..some of my low use numbers came from creators that saw I was a collector and offered, gave or sold me a copy of their coats because I was a dedicated collector. They were "responsible ' creators who knew we valued the coat not the amount of money that a coat could bring because it was rare.

The unscrupulous creators that would open and shut at will make a rare coat common is what stopped this practice before it was legally outlawed. Most pre-creation space creators and currents ones are not like that but it only took one bad apple as they say.

Sadly we have lost some wonderful creators such as Demure Girl, SightSoundLady, dreams price and others due to the malicious behavior of others that ca used unjust actions for some.Rules changing or being applied at will also caused this. Now we are losing old school creators simply because coats can't get thru our democratic process that only allows cookie cutters and computer crafted coats thru. (No disrespect meant) the old school hand drawn coat creators such as Cloud33 and others never make it. Personally I never see any of the coats that I see in voting (well rarely) make it thru..

The retired coat business has its ups and downs like any market but the overinflated prices are more from the game taking a drastic uphill trek in the way that everything takes passes now. Many don't buy passes so getting a coat for even two passes can be too expensive.

Just my two cents.

For several days now, I've been stalking through this forum, drooling over the RC coats and wishing I could post here too. And finally, I have my first RC! It's no particularly rare, but I am happy it's a uni! Here she is:

I miss the days when RC coats were 500 and 2 passes, but now I've noticed the normal RC coat price is 500 and 3 passes. What a shame. ): It's pretty bad when everything seems to be based on passes. There should be more free opportunities to get passes, but I doubt that'll ever happen.

Why does an RC collection have to be an expensive hobby? T^T It's so fun, but so expensive, lol.
