This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

Me too, creation space has effectively killed collecting, the fun was the anticipation of whether a coat might suddenly retire or not and when one did if you had it or could find it...

Riding horse coat from 2011

A useful tip: each creation has it's own number, same as players have a number and ECs, affixes, etc. If you have the image of the coat, such as this, you can find the name and creator of the coat very easily if you have a GA - pass - or 10 diamonds in your inventory so you can access the sales page of the GA.

All you have to do is copy the image location of the picture, if you use it with this one you will get:

Now a bit before the end you see a number (100078293), this is the number of the coat. If you now go to a purchase page of a certain coat, you can go to the creations directories and click on a random GA coat (one you can still get), and you will go to the page where you can give that coat to one of your horses. Of course you don't want that coat, so look at your URL bar. Here you will see a number too, this number is of the random coat you clicked on. Replace the number with the coat you are interested in, enter, and voila! Sorry for the whole text wall, I thought some might not know this little trick and would find it interesting to know. It sounds a lot to do but is done really quickly, then you never have to wait to find information of a coat!

Agree haffy...sadly the anticipation of a retiring coat is no longer the lasting adrenaline rush it used to be..now it is like your morning cup of coffee that you get two minutes before you have to leave for work and don't have time to drink. The thought is nice but the flavor was so much richer and longer lasting.

I have coats in my herd that I don't remember getting since I got them as golden apples years ago. Even with the golden apples I have to triple check before I buy one.. (the search for coats I don't have is not always reliable ) then the fun part (not) of sorting,renaming and moving to retired farms if you are lucky enough to find it to begin with. I just love the message a out can I buy horse xcd..with no other info..do they even look to see how many horses there are or which farm it is in to help slimited it down...or have more then one copy of a coat and can't find any of the ten you have..lol

I like the creation space but I do wish it opened a little less frequently. .remember when the black pearl was only available one a year..maybe?

Dang, I hoped that a few of the coats Howrse posted on Instagram would be 100 uses, but oh well. It'll be a small batch for me this time I think.

I remembered the release at 6:02 and started flipping out haha. Got the ones I wanted though, very happy I did!

Got the 100 use winged uni, 100 winged draft, and the 100 use black horse coat. Along with a 200 use donkey.

I LOVE the Winged Uni!
