Hello,
Had a little look inside my ec forum and found a good idea.
why don't we play Howrse spotters!
It's very simple you just need to find an extraordinary Howrse and put the link to his page here.
We could look for the Oldest, the fattest, the skinniest, the biggest number of wins in one type of competition and so on, i'll let you imagine which ones we can search together.

There are quite a few different water themed backgrounds including lakes, ponds, rivers, waterfalls, oceans, ect. Water is very common in backgrounds.

If you go into the Creations directory for Landscapes and search Rainbow - you'll find a few additional results - but these are two that I particularly like that are still active with Rainbows in them:

There is someone named VenLightChaser who has made many chinese zodiac horses and others. I found it pretty cool but it seems they are under appreciated.

I’m looking for a background that would suit this horse, but I’m not having much luck finding one... I put the one it has on now temporarily, but I would like something more suited default smiley (y)default smiley (y) Any ideas?

Due to forums rules, we are not able to give opinions on which backgrounds would look good with which coats. We can provide assistance in pointing out specific types of backgrounds (ie: backgrounds with rainbows in them), but that is all.

I can't even begin to tell you how many forest backgrounds there are. You are going to have to be wayyyy more specific. If you aren't sure yourself, take a look through the background directory and get a feel for what you like. Winter forests can be found under the white color category, fall forests can be found under the red color category, and regular forests can be found under the green color category. If you find something you particularly like (jungle themed, forests with waterfalls, autumn forests, ect.) then come on back and ask us for more specific options.

I’m wasn’t even asking what would suit the coat... I clearly stated that *I* hadn’t had any luck finding a background that suited the coat - I never asked for people to find one they thought was suited.

I can see now that the other piece of text I was typing didn’t show up - it said...

“Are there any dark themed coats that could possibly work?”

By asking us to pick out backgrounds that we think would suit the coat, and asking us for our ideas, is in effect asking us for our opinion.

Like 1kkurtz said, we can only really help if you give us something specific to look for, like the rainbow backgrounds they said as an example. Then we're not giving opinions, we're just stating 'facts' about which backgrounds exist and the original poster ultimately has to decide which to choose.

In here people used to give their opinions, which is why you may have seen some posts that asked similar queries and got answers, but a mod reminded the forum of the rules so now people can't do that anymore.

Congrats for finding one you like though~

We were reminded (quite recently as it may be) that opinions are not allowed in the forums. Just because people have posted opinion questions in the past and have gotten answers does not make it okay now.
As a player, I would not mind providing opinion answers (like saying a background is suitable for a specific coat), but alas, Howrse makes the rules. Responding to an opinion question can be cause for sanction as much as asking for an opinion. Both parties in the situation have refused to follow forum guidelines.

I think starry99 explained well what is considered okay to post in regards to finding backgrounds, and what is not. default smiley :)

And if thats the case, Mods reminding us to not ask for opinions, why are there highly opinionated questions... on this page?! I may act like I know nothing about the rules, definitions etc, but I do, so please refrain from questioning my capability.

And I gave something specific - "what would work regarding the colours of the Golden Apple” - *that* is not opinionated - it is specific and worded mindfully, in respect of the rules. I cannot help that a piece of text happened to not show up in my original post -I’m not a rule breaker - I haven’t broken any rules, so could we please pretend this never happened now? The situation is sorted, and I have no more intentions of the topic regarding my Helios’ Ray.

I bought a horse earlier called "Motley Cruiser DA!!"
I'm just wondering was Motley Cruiser something significant to Howrse that I am unaware of or does this simply not mean anything? default smiley :)
