Given this, which is just another blatant cash-grab trying to make the game "harder" so people "find it more of a challenge" (and spend more) (which they won't) (it isn't going to work) I really DO think this game is shutting down. I will be shocked if it's still here by next Christmas.

I'll also add that boss fragments are now available on the path.

I think the medium and hard levels are also more difficult, but unfortunately I don't have access to the old Ascent's history. Perhaps you have some old screenshots? Here's a sample path from the new game:

It might actually, to a point. As long as you get through room 1, you're guaranteed 5 Nyx fragments. There IS an easy route you can take, but you bypass the fragments of the divine offered. That's 100 games to get Nyx. Now I personally havn't noticed a change in difficulty but I never had the best of luck( I've only reached the summit 7 out of 300+ times...I'm not great at it.).Yes, I know the only thing Nyx is useful for is to sit there and look pretty, but still. Some people don't care.

While I like this, I also don't because I used to play it just to get fragments of Divines I didn't have. It means less of those fragments overall, BUT it makes it easier to avoid fragments of Divines I already have, so I have a bit of incentive to play again...but just a bit.

I wouldn't be too concerned...yet. I know its still early in the year, but they would have to be routinely cutting back on the number of active servers before I would get concerned. We have to remember there are 24(including international) active servers online ATM, and we don't know of any plans so far to take anymore offline (will there be? probably). If they keep feeling like they need to cut costs, they probably will shut down the biggest servers last, unless people quit in a massive wave. And by people I mean the whales that routinely buy passes(speaking from experience). Fixing ads on classic would help too but it is nice not having them. That said, I'd be more prepared for more big server breaks like we had last year than shut downs, but I could be wrong.

after half of the new threshold 1 we're already done with the previous threshold 1, we're skipping the easy rooms of threshold 2, are already in the previous threshold 3 after half of the new threshold 2, and at half of threshold 3 it just becomes ridiculous
