Are we really only getting a few days of the Merge? I am seeing less than 7 days, maybe even just 4 days if it starts on the 17th and ends on the 21st?

Based on test, I think it might actually be 6 days, as that's the time between the start and end date given in the main post. Still very short, but a lot better than 4. I wish they would just cut out the day break and have it start straight after the blast.

As a seasoned dragon fighter, I don't find this much faster than just clicking off to the side of the screen, and certainly not faster than fighting on mobile. The time it takes to move your cursor to the skip area takes as much time as any slight lag you'd get moving your cursor over slightly and clicking.

About that long-awaited update...

While it doesn't end the animation any faster, it does make a new fight immediately available (you can click on one of the moves (care, defense, attack) as soon as you hit skip). Previously, you could click off the animation but you'd still have to wait the same amount of time for the moves to be clickable again.

So it is in fact a positive and noticeable change. Previously you just avoided seeing the animation, now you get to skip it entirely.

I wonder if there is something in browser or device settings that causes this

the wait time you mention, becuase I don't have that issue. When I click to the side the animation goes away and the buttons were already available to click. I don't have to wait to click them again.

For me, there is no difference between the skip button and clicking to the side, except the skip button requires me to move my cursor further.

I am happy if this does make the process easier for some players. It''s just not the solution it should have been

It's been faster for me to refresh the page each time than wait for the buttons to be available. I have to wait the length of time for the animation whether I watch it or click off (I just don't have to watch the flashes if I click off).
At least with the new update you can still click to the side (so it's at least not worse for you even if it isn't better). I'm pretty sure they don't want to get rid of the animation altogether, so...

I also have to wait for the buttons to be clickable again. They are just grayed out while the animation would play out, even if you click to the side. So it was always faster for me to use the mobile version.

As for the new God - adore him! He truly does have a nice design.
I'm also excited for the new Stellar divine, while not necessarily an ideal prize from that divine, still a great design! I'm biased though, I am adoring all the donkey divines.

Pretty sure the skip by clicking out of the Animation works only if you have Animations in general disabled in your Game settings.
Which has never been an issue for me, cause they're one of the first things I turn off on any account to have the game run minimally better without the unnecessary cosmetic bloating.
