I personally approve of this, it's really nice to see the trophies actually giving us rewards, will make the effort put into getting them feel worth it.

Yeah sure, but did they really need to completely overhaul the system for it? And delete everyone's progress for the customization category? No one is against getting rewards, they're against the way in which it is being brought about. It just sucks. I guess the one bright spot is it's happening to everyone. So everyone's in the same boat, on the same playing field, etc.

I don't think it was mentioned, but I think Aramis was shown? He was hidden behind something and Howrse was asking what divine it could be. Either Aramis or some new divine that looks a lot like him lol.

Obviously I don't have any progress to wipe so I'm not personally affected, but I think it's silly to get so upset over progress being /potentially/ wiped, if we don't even know that's what's going to happen.

I'm honestly of the same mindset, and I'm saying this as someone that has over 240 trophies, many of them including owning hundreds of retired coats and divines, so I do have a lot to lose if the progress is wiped.

This overhaul of the trophies is completely unnecessary and the new page layout for the collections is extremely ugly. I’ve worked my butt off completing my trophy collections and if I have to re-collect the hundreds of horses I’ve amassed because they’re making everyone start from scratch, I will stop playing this game. I’m seeing a bunch of different comments and descriptions of this new feature so I’m not jumping to conclusions yet, as it is still in the testing phase, but from everything I’ve seen, as a trophy collecting player, I’m SO angry.

I hope I’m just misunderstanding what’s happening and trophies will still count towards ranking and they’re not going away, and that the collections with prizes are just an add-on.

Oh, I wasn't attacking your comment or opinion specifically (at least that wasn't my intention), I was just replying to it in a general way to express distaste towards the way the Howrse team is going about offering rewards for collecting things. Just adding to the conversation/discussion, basically. My apologies!

I got two divines ( Tarpan and a Falla), HOPs ( multiple), P stones ( multiple), A medals (multiple), C timers ( multiple) F wands and a bunch of other stuff and not low level BMIs.

as someone who has mass collected rc and stuff like that, this is so wrong to me.

It would be fine if they had done it to the regular coat trophies, thats something that I'd be fine with replacing as I do it everytime a horse I only have 1 coat of dies. But come on, rc's, ga's and every other known collectable item wont count? Thats insane! The amount of eq and passes I've spent can easily be around 100m eq and 5000+ passes. All that work down the drain! Compared to the 2m you may spend on coats alone (counting coats you may breed on the daily) I could easily rebreed 95% of the coat collections in a week. But collecting ANOTHER copy of rc's I already have? Really?

As much as I like the fact we're getting prizing for trophies (and as a player who suggested it) this is NOT what I had in mind.

I am tracking the requirements and tiers for the new trophies here. I'll add data as I see it here and on the Discord (and as I make progress on the test server).

So, if I'm reading that right, it's just tracking number of uses of things now, rather than specific items (i.e. 'use x number of companions', rather than 'have an one of each animal companion')? I'm suddenly regretting using so many resources chasing trophies the last few days

I hope your day is going well.
I am contacting you regarding the upcoming changes to the trophy page.

There is a lot of unrest being caused because players with numerous assets are afraid that their progress will be wiped out when the trophy page is updated.

Could you please clarify if players will have to start from scratch, or will they be given points for the horses they already own?

For exampleand this is one I made up on the spot) Say one of the new trophies is, "Own a hundred silver apple coats." If a player had 928 silver apple coats BEFORE the trophy page updates, will they be given the new trophy automatically after the trophy page is updated, or will they have to gain another 100 silver apples coats on top of the 928 they already own?

The new trophies operate as a sort of objective system that asks us to apply x companions, etc, but the Customizing trophies we currently have (own x number of RCs, etc,) are *supposed* to all be transferred as they are to the Collections page. We're not supposed to lose them

The Collections page is not yet live, so we don't know what it looks like. We only see the new Trophies page

I wish the Collections page had been up when preprod started, because it would have saved lots of confusion and worry (plus me wondering whether I should bother buying the WS coat I've been eyeing)
