They usually host a giveaway on social media for it so maybe that's what they're referring to?

Yeah - So, on the different social media channels, they often do small contests where they'll randomly choose a winner if you post the correct answer.

Really wish they had small contests posted on howrse along with social media. That way everyone that "actually plays the game" knows about it and can participate. Some people (like me) do not have social media. If it is a contest for howrse, then host it ON HOWRSE along with social media. Just my opinion.

That would defeat the purpose of the social media contest. Pretty much on any platform, your friends/followers/family etc. can see when you post on something or when you like something. It's a way for Howrse to reach people who don't play and get the company out there.

If they put them on the game as well it would never come across to someone who doesn't know Howrse.

Do we have anymore chimera spoilers after the crocodile one? I really hope we're done with them for now, it's becoming a little bit annoying having to put aside 2000 passes a month just for that purpose...

I get that. I'm not saying they shouldn't have a social media base. It's more the contest side of it. People who do not play howrse, cannot participate in their mini contests, therefore they should post the contests hear AND on social media. By all means, share posts with friends and family, share things about howrse. It helps promote the game I understand. But if you don't play howrse, you CANNOT benefit or participate in the mini contests. Why would someone care if they giveaway a free divine if they don't play?

Just mini contests and promotional codes should be announced here. New divines, events and features I agree using social media for as it does not have an effect on players chances of participating. You will eventually participate when it's added to the game.

Free divines, event prizes, BMI, etc need to be announced on the game so that players can participate. If you do not play, how can you win those social media prizes? I just don't think players should have to sign up on a different site participate in a game contest.

Just my own opinion. Just wanted to make it more clear what I meant. I don't think I should have to wait for a player with social media to post in the Spoiler Zone about a promotional code or something. The howrse team should already be doing that.

I get your point, it just seems like you're missing a little of what they are trying to do.

They can't, for instance, make a topic in Events and do the same thing. Because most of us would just participate here, rather than go to a separate site to participate. And they want us to go to the other site.

And, yes, other people don't benefit from the contest if they are not on Howrse. But, the point is to draw us players over to social media because we want to benefit. By participating for ourselves, other people we are associated with who don't play see we play something and they think "What is Howrse? What is he/she participating in?" And some people may be interested in finding out more and then join Howrse.

If they post the same thing in Events forum, no one would just stumble upon someone they follow posting on some Horse game page. And why would we bother to go post on Twitter/Facebook if posting in events gave us the same thing?

It's also worth pointing out that they always ask people to include their Howrse username and version when they post on one of the mini contests. So not only would it be stupid for someone who's not on Howrse to play, but they'd have to lie about it too. I would think most people in the contests do play on Howrse, and if people enter who don't then that's their problem really.

It would be nice if they did some similar mini games and codes on here though. It doesn't have to be the same ones! They could still keep the exclusive ones so those who advertise for them on social media can get double doses. And they could use the ones on here to encourage people to enter those.

Does anyone have some form of estimation when the prehistoric divines might be released again? Of course we can’t know for sure; I’m just hoping for a rough idea

It probably won't be for a while because they came back out last year.

Okay I'm a little confused and have played minimally in the last 6 months because I sold my home and moved to another state and now have bought another home.

Have we already had these Companions offered before and do they count for the Trophies?

And I have 9 of the Alebrijes, were the other 12 of them already offered?

They count for Trophies. They were added last Tuesday as official Companion Trophies.
They were released once in December, with some of them in the Alebrijes companion chest.
Now they have their own companion chest.

The daurumas have changed quite a bit.. I just got Ryū as a companion for one of my horses.

Really? I cant find this new trophy chest on my trophy page...?

Ok thats weird...i cannot SEE either new trophy, but if i hover my mouse over the first two
EMPTY boxes, it says their name and if i click on it the list comes up. But for some weird reason the trophy picture is not there.

Ok ok, sorry to post so much... i refreshed the page and now they are there.

I'm still a little confused. Have all 21 of these companions been offered before? I wish there was some way to see if I already had them.
