I created an account on the first to see what was going on and it looks like this pass change will begin testing over there in November(we won't see it here in November from what I can tell). The community on that server is...not happy...about it. The details are still somewhat sketchy such as what the divine actually does, whether we will only have 10 passes a month instead of the current possible 30 etc. That information will supposedly be posted there next week. We also don't know if this change will be applied over here or when. Most of it is speculation at this point until the Admin here post something about it.

The VIP account costs 10 passes a month. Unless you flip horses, we cannot maintain that account and have extra passes for anything else. I've always assured people you can succeeded without buying passes, but right now? No. This is terrible, and it's absolutely disgusting. As someone who needs about 20 passes per month on getting all the new 100-use GA coats, I could even collect RC horses anymore, let alone support the VIP account.

Promos have become impossible to win without passes. And by changing pass methods so much, it's become obvious to me what they're doing. Remember when for a few days we couldn't edit our presentations? You know how we don't know what we have to do to earn pass points? And that horrible new pass horse rule is terrible! Well, I think Howrse is trying to force us to buy passes. We can't do almost anything without buying passes now!

It is just so sad. They are hardly doing this to make it more fair as they claim, they are simply doing it to make people buy passes by taking all the means to play without. I was here when Howrse was in its early days and there were a lot less free things but this was more balanced back then as the game wasn't as competitive. It saddens me that the game I signed up to when I was a young girl has turned into such a money grab.

I defended a lot of this games decisions, but even I feel that they are going too far in their greed. So much for loyalty.

First I have survived with just 10 passes from pass horses which pay for my VIP. I never went beyond that 10.

Second I didn't even really have the option of the 1 free ( reserve based) pass.

Third. This is being voted on at another server so speculation on the outcome of that voting seems premature to me.

Most of the people ( not you actually but others) posting negative comments on this thread when I look at their profile page have done little to nothing and not even used the resources available to them.

You're right. A lot of players don't use the full amount of pass horses. And if the VIP account didn't exist? I really wouldn't even care. It's just so hard to afford the VIP account and continue collecting at the same time if this happens.

I think at least, they should either let us get 15-20 a month...or lower the VIP account to only cost 5 passes. And maybe lower the Pegasus account to 1 pass?

I agree silence about lowering the VIP accounts cost. Considering people have to either work very hard to get that ranking or buy 100 passes, 10 passes a month seems really over priced, especially considering it is meant to "reward" loyal players.

I'm mutual with the change so far.

I very rarely use passes for everything I do, so I'm constantly forgetting to take care of my pass horses. Almost everything I have on my account I have earned with equus I have saved. To me, this will be a little bit easier for me to save up passes for something I really want. I used to have a PA, but yet again, with me forgetting to take care of my future pass horses, I had to scramble and use many AP's to get those three passes in time. (I'm lazy when it comes to ap farming and pass horses)

I do see where many of the senior players are coming from and understand the frustration. But, as Spyder said, sometimes you have to struggle until you learn new tricks and ways to fund your game. (I also agree with Spyder's last sentence)

Being that we haven't gotten a lot of info on this change yet, I can't really state many opinions on it. I see it as another change I have to get use to and adjust my game with. Not much else I can do about it.

I think what truly bothers me the most about the whole situation is the fact we don't have a complete picture. They know that the are messing with a very important aspect of many people's games yet they still refuse to tell us everything. Instead they keep us in the dark on what needs to be done in order to fill the bar to get the passes we depend on, even thought it has been lowered to a third of the original amount. Not only that but the introduction of a new shiny that attempts to try to keep the value of current pass horses means nothing when we have no clue what it even does. That unknown is what sucks and I wonder if they were a bit more upfront in the first place would the reaction be as bad as it is?

No offense taken. I've been playing a total of 5 years (previous account) and understand the frustration of the game constantly changing. Especially when there is no benefit to it's members, only the employees pockets. I do agree that it is unfair and ridiculous to "fix" something that isn't broken. Even though this change may not negatively affect my game, I know it will affect many player's games who depend on the current pass system for funds. I know that it's hard to get passes from sales since the economy has gotten in a rough spot. If the divine is useless, like many recent ones have been, then all the money spent on buying pass horses would have been a major waste.

If you have to send 10 pass horses to heaven once for the divine, yes, the market will suffer. But, if players have to send them every month, then I think the market will be okay, at least for a while.

I do think it's a great idea to lower special account prices if this change is implemented, since you would now be limited on the amount of passes.

But, like I said, I can't really say much since we don't have a lot of info on it. It may not even happen since updates didn't happen in the past because 90% of players were against the idea. But, believe me, I do understand your frustration.
