Honestly, I do not care about the treasure hunt or winning Altair. I like promo events simply because I can hoard items I win and aging points. The new legendary horses are ridiculous. Howrse has become so pass heavy it is sad. Not everyone pours their wallet into a game.

However, some people do pour a pretty penny into this game to get every single divine that comes their way, so Howrse must continue to offer promotions like T__ T_______ H___, because there are players who will spend every last one of their passes to ensure that they receive whatever shiny it is. I recommend just continuing what you are doing, getting what you can without spending money. There's nothing wrong with that, but moping about how heavy the promotion is won't help you at all.

After the GC ends, what happens the Saddle cloth if you don't use it?

It stays in your inventory until you use it. You can put it on a horse and it will act like a normal saddle cloth does. The horse will only transform into Altaïr if you put all five pieces of Altaïr's tack on it, though.

It remains in your inventory
It will work as a normal Saddle Cloth would (you just can't sell the horse) and can be used with other Tack
Regardless of if you use it or not - it will remain in your inventory unless otherwise noted

Factor in the free saddle cloth and the fact that we can unlock the ability to open free Golden Fleeces, I think this promo is shaping up to be, potentially, one of the cheapest we've had in ages.

But even then, I only used 13 dice packs on the summer ride (mostly bought with diamonds I had saved up and free passes I got from my reserve/pass horses). I also managed to get shining yellow, cool carrot and charming red without actually buying any passes.

The only pass heavy promos have been the Maze and the Underwater Excavation in my experience.

The accusation of greed is one that has been leveled against the game by players the whole time I have been playing, and it makes no sense to me given the myriad ways in which we are able to obtain free passes. Also, looking at the promos I honestly don't see that much of a difference in price between now and when I first started.



That's going to drive me nuts If I manage to collect the whole set I can see myself saving it in perpetuity... Just knowing that if I wait a little longer I can have an even higher skilled Altair.
