Great Challange. It will have three objectives instead of six, the prize will be Altair, the first in a new series of horses called the legendarys, that like the wilds, are not divines, but enter divine competitions. Altair can be won by finding all five pieces of his tack in the golden fleece, which costs two passes. Altair's perk is that if he drinks twice in one day, you win a twenty-four hour VIP account, if you already have one it is extended by twenty-four hours. A picture of him is on the previous page with more information.

So we're able to use the Golden Fleece now and so I went to see how many tries it'd take to get a piece of tack for Altair. It took 4 tries, then I got the saddle, and on my 12th try I got wraps. So that's 24 passes for only two pieces of tack.

Went on to see how many it took to complete the set, and I finished the set on my 25th Golden Fleece. 50 passes for the whole set.

This won't be necessary though. During the GC, if you finish each objective, you get a prize. On the 12th day of doing objectives, your prize is the Altair Saddle Pad.

This is just my luck though. It's always possible to get the set in a few tries if you're super lucky.

I equipped the tack to a blupped KWPN and the jumping stats all went up to the 2000s. Easy rosettes, pretty divine, and nice perk. I didn't get the double drink though. The Altair Pack is still bugged so we don't know how much it costs I think.

You cannot put Altair's tack on a horse that is equip with a Poseidens Pack.

I spend 60 passes on the Fleeces and obtained 2 full sets of Altair's tack.

So far I've spent 60 passes and have only gotten 4 pieces, not even a full set

Will there be a way to win any free golden fleeces?

-Advantage for Festivities

You receive an advantage over the Golden Fleece depending on the number of Irons won during the Grand Challenge.

►5 = 6: 40 horseshoes
►4 = 5: 80
►3 = 4: 115
►2 = 3: 145


This means if you have 40HS at the END of the GC for every 5 GF you open you will get 1 free GF. If you can make it to the 2=3 the cost of opening GF is greatly reduced, since you are basically only paying 4passes for 3 GF (making them 1.33 passes each )

From my previous exp on prepod/live with the GC and this deal, I spent a great deal of passes on prepod (around 50) for a divine, but on live I believe the most I ever spent was 10 on one of the GC divines due to this.

It took me 14 passes and 80 Diamonds (11 tries) to win the whole of Altair's Tack.

Some things to note;

1. You can not give Altair's tack to any horse who is already wearing Poseidon Tack (it can only be given to horses without tack and/or those wearing regular tack.

2. You can not give the Tack to Divines or Wilds regardless of if they have tack or not.

3. The tack can be given to all species of horses (So this means Riding Horses, Drafts, Donkeys, Ponies, Unicorns, Pegasus and Winged Unicorns)

The concept of this contest is to collect horseshoes with the whole community to meet the amount that will launch the Festivities. In addition, you will discover the days when certain steps are reached, a new chapter in the story of Altair, as explained on the topic of Legendary Horses.

Collection of horseshoes

The ways to earn horseshoes are reviewed. Now horseshoes are won only through the daily objectives. Competitions no longer offer horseshoes. Do not worry: the amount horseshoes was adjusted to these changes.

Objectives

There are now 3 daily objectives, rather than 6.

The objectives bring 2 times more horseshoes than before:

►Objective 1: 2 horseshoes
►Objective 2: 4 horseshoes
►Objective 3: 6 horseshoes

You now have the opportunity to complete the objectives from the 2 previous days if you have not done so.

You can validate the 3rd objective of the day with the advertising video if one is available.

Ask for help

You can ask for help to complete the third objective. It costs 5000 Equus and you can ask for help once a day. In this case your objective will be proposed to the other members of the community. It is another player who will complete your goal. However, even if you have asked for help, you can still choose to complete your own objective.

The first time you help someone during the day, you win a raffle ticket for the Festivities. Afterwards, helping other players helps launch the Festivities sooner.

Puzzle

A puzzle is added. The puzzle consists of 12 pieces (4 x 3).

►Each time you complete 3 daily objectives, you earn a piece of the puzzle.
►The puzzle pieces are always won in the same order.
►Once puzzle is completed, you still have objectives to complete and they will earn horseshoes and not puzzle pieces.
►You get a gift for each puzzle piece unlocked. Gifts are received during the Festivities launch.

-Advantage for Festivities

You receive an advantage over the Golden Fleece depending on the number of Irons won during the Grand Challenge.

Festivities

When the required amount of horseshoes is reached, the Festivities are launched.
The duration of the Festivities is based on the number of days that the community took to reach the goal. So: the faster you collect the horseshoes, longer the Festivities will last.

During the festivities, in the Golden Fleece, you will find pieces of equipment for the Legendary Horse Altair. There are 5 pieces. When you have them all, the horse on which you have chosen to place them will be transformed into Altair.

►It is not possible to get the Legendary Horse in reserved sales after opening a certain number of Golden Fleece.

►VIP retain the possibility to obtain pieces of equipment in the Golden Fleece during the Grand Challenge if they wish.

►It is no longer possible to give a raffle ticket to a player who has not finished (or abandoned) the tutorial.

►It is not possible to get the Legendary Horse in reserved sales after opening a certain number of Golden Fleece.

I feel it might be in reference to how in the old Great Challenge - if you failed to win the Divine after a certain number of tries, it appeared in the sales for a price of 20 passes to start - and each additional failure dropped the price by 1 pass down to a minimum of 5 passes to buy the Divine (if you won the Divine before buying it - it would vanish from the sales).

To me; it either means:

A. That will not be an option (as you need to collect tack - as opposed to winning a horse) *this seems most likely*
or

B. After failing a certain number of times to even win 1 piece of tack - the Divine will be reserved for you.

Altair Pack!?!?!

The Altair Pack is not programmed on Preprod - thus, we do not know how it is going to work...It could be a Black Market item that players can buy. It might be a special Pass Pack Deal like the ones we had last year around Christmas.

We don't quite know just yet what it's going to be...but I assume that at some point in time, during the Festivities maybe - that people will be able to buy Altair Packs
