Right now, keep everything you have and sell nothing. Everything that is going away is being replaced by multiples of another and will have equal value to the replaced item. Example, one turnip that costs 25e will be replaced with 25x fodder that costs 1e a piece. 25e = 25e

Just grow alfalfa on several meadows each growing season. You'll have plenty. (that is, if 1 piece of fodder bought equals a pound/kilo of it.)

plant a lot of turnips ASAP, or else you wont have fodder for your boarders when the changes come. Unless you dont really worry about the perks that show up.
