Customisation item priority changes [Obsolete]

"Hello,
To resolve some consistency issues in the horse sales and the trophies, the priority rules for the customisation items have been reviewed.

Starting now the coat you’ll see in your horse will always fit his specie.
When you give your horse a special coat, if he is already wearing one, the new item erases the old one. (Image & bonus) For instance, if you want to give a Medusa’s Blood to a horse wearing a Golden Apple from the “horse” species, the Golden Apple will disappear from the horse at the moment he becomes a Pegasus.
For all the horses that are already in this situation, the Medusa’s Blood is removed from the horse and placed its owner’s inventory. If you are concerned, you have received a private message.
It isn’t possible any longer to combine the bonus from the special coats (Golden Apple, 5th Element, and Bewitched Pumpkin). Consequently, we have reviewed the bonuses given by special coats as follows, so that they remain interesting:
5th Element:
Earth: +8 in Dressage and + in all the other skills.
Air: +8 in Jumping and + in all the other skills.
Fire: +8 in Speed and + in all the other skills.
Water: +8 in Stamina and + in all the other skills.
Metal: +8 in all the skills.

Bewitched Pumpkin:
All the coats from the Bewitched Pumpkin receive a +5 bonus in all the skills. The bonus specific to the bat coat is combined with it.

The removal of the Pegasus wings from horses wearing coats that do not fit with their species is only applied to the Golden Apple and the Diamond Apple.
The other coats either have a coat available for each species (5th Element) or do not have any corresponding images and are left as they are.

It remains possible to put the Medusa’s Blood on horses with a Bewitched Pumpkin or Shutterfly’s Splint Boots as they do not have a Pegasus version of the coats.

Special cases:
When a horse equipped with a Harmony Pack loses its Golden Apple coat because a new special coat or a Medusa’s Blood has been applied to it, it must be possible to reuse the Golden Apple provided by the Harmony Pack for free on that horse. For instance, this is already the case for when a horse loses its Golden Apple coat when you remove the wings or horns during some events.

Removal of the wings on a Pegasus, removal of the horn on a unicorn.
- If the horse had a Golden Apple (retired or not) or a Diamond Apple: The item is deleted.
- If the horse had a 5th Element coat: the item remains but the coat changes to fit the specie of the horse.
- If the horse has another type of special coat: the item and the coat remain as there is no distinction of the specie on these items.
Normally this should already be the case. "

like clicking in 2 items in market and checking what items the horse you want to buy wasnt easy enough >(

I don't like ANY of the new coats...why are they changing themmmmm? default smiley :( this makes me sad. :/
The only coat I really like is the Fjord. Most others look terrible. I wish howrse would take players opinions more into the changes they make. As it's pretty obvious not many people like the new coats.

What I think of the new coats:

Arabian Horse: I like these coats better, they look more like Arabians. There's not much of a difference though.

Thoroughbred: No, my poor Thoroughbreds! Their legs look like they are going to snap off, and their faces are just too small.

Curly: I like these coats better, they look more like horses than woolly's.

Akhal-tekes: I LOVE these new coats! They are much better than the last ones. I may even start breeding them now.

Mustang: What is wrong with their neck's? And those faces....

Gyspy Vanner: Those faces look plastic, I prefer the old ones much more.

Shetland: I love these coats much more, they look like real horses instead of cartoons.

Friesians: They are overall good, but those NECKS! They look like Arabian necks...

Nakota: I like these coats better, I suppose.

Quarter Horse: That face, neck, and bum! I prefer the old coats much better.

Purebred Spanish Horse: I like these coats much more than the current ones.

Hanoverian: I like these coats more than the current ones.

Highland Pony: These coats look very realistic.

Brumby: I miss their old manes, the foals looked so cute...

Morgan/Trotter: The head and neck is way too small.....

Knapstrupper: I like these coats much better

Trakhaner: The ears and muzzle plain scare me

Fjord: They look almost exactly the same

Welsh: Love the new Welsh Ponies!

Newfoundland Pony: They are so cute, although a bit chubby.
Upps.Guys, the previous posted thing by me about is not accurate,Howrse team have changed their mind and posted THIS NEW update of that old idea:

Hello everyone,

Following all your comments and after discussing the initial customisation priority review at length among ourselves we have come to a decision.

Here is what will be happening in effect:

- We abandon the rule where putting a Medusa's blood on your horse after a golden Apple removes the Golden Apple. Things remain as they are for the moment on the game.

- The pegasus that wear a Golden Apple that isn't from the Pegasus specie remain as they are. There will be no compensation with Medusa's Bloods as they remain on the horses.

- The new bonus values for the 5th Element remain.

- The BONUS rule modification REMAINS.

If you place a Special Coat item over another Special Coat item the bonus from the last item applies.

So if you put a:

Golden Apple on a 5th Element => The horse has the Golden Apple Bonus
Bewitched Pumpkin on a Golden Apple => The horse has the Bewitched Pumpkin Bonus
Bewitched Pumpkin on a Splint Boot => The horse has the Bewitched Pumpkin Bonus
Splint Boot on a Golden Apple => The horse has the Splint Boot Bonus
5th Element on a Bewitched Pumpkin => The horse has the 5th Element Bonus
Etc...

The Medusa's Blood ISN'T a special coat item
Your horses can't combine bonuses from Special Coat items by stacking them.

By special coat items i mean Diamond Apples, Golden Apples, Bewitched Pumpkins, 5th Elements, Splint Boots

That is all that will finally be coming with next update
Thank you for being patient with us.

Guys, guys, calm down.

These new coats aren't so bad. I don't think it's worth crying over.

Besides, nothing has changed, yet, and Howrse isn't even guaranteeing that all this will happen.

So let's not make a scene before the explosion really happens, okay?
Oh dear, the new coats... I am sorry, I don't like them. Guess I am a traditionalist, I like horses just the way they are now.
Well, you can't stop the progress.

Is there any type of forum that Howrse will listen to? I am a GV Breeder and I really think the new coat change will affect us. The new coats are awful. default smiley (n) After the last horse parade we voted on a few horses that they were looking to change, now all of a sudden they are changing all the horses. I understand that change can be difficult, but to take something that looked nice already and take away their most prominent features isn't helpful. It's like taking the spots from the knabs, taking the feathers away from the Vanners turns them into any other type of draft horse. They no longer have any feature that sets them apart or stays true to the real horse.
