You have a right to complain, you have the responsibility to not abuse this power.

As someone else has mentioned waaaaaaay back, it's time to ignore it all. We are all stating the same things over and over. And honestly, all of us are talking to a brick wall.....which only makes us look crazier than we seem. So.....tea anyone? Maybe some cookies?

I'll still buy passes, because I love the game, and the thing it was based off, not necessarily all these (unnecessary ) changes.

And I mean unnecessary in my opinion! No disrespect t anyone, or the Howrse Team, because I'm sure it makes perfect sense in their heads, just not to use normal players (like most of my plans to my friends)

None taken. I will still buy passes for the same reason. I like the game.

Some may not make a whole lot of sense (shall I dust the cobwebs off the 'vet fee change'?), but eventually it evens out. Some changes are still unloved, and some have grown on others.

What vet fee change?

It was roughly 2 years ago. Didn't mean to frighten you if I had. I just remember all of the fighting with that along with others that have come since.

But with the quote "it's not broken so don't fix/change it" the meadows are jot causing problems or anything
They are a benefit to players. Why get rid of it then? I just don't understand why.

Sorry for repeating something that's going to annoy you peaople, but no one seems to notice my opinions.

Goodness, it was almost like a war zone.......or like the US government. I think I was on the less popular side of it because I saw it as more fair than what it had been and it DID make a lot of breeders think twice about breeding less than desirable horses if you were part of the GP races.

Who knows - as I said before, it might just be because they are going to replace it with something else...or maybe streamline two actions into one.

Something that crossed my mind before about it was this:

Anyone else remember when we could do TWO lessons in a day with our horses? I seem to recall an outcry when it was announced that the second lesson would be removed...Yet, this balanced out as Howrse simply rolled the two lessons into one lesson (still took the same amount of time, and gave the same amount of skills as the two lessons did individually) - streamlining the process.

The same could be said when the need to choose to bed a horse down in the Box or Meadow was removed...Again, it became a more streamline process (as now, the game basically chooses in a way that doesn't hurt the horse)

There's a chance that Howrse might do something like that again - bring these two actions together into one.

Perhaps it will become a button like we have now - you choose how much time your horse will spend outside (allowing it to forage in the meadows for food (saving some equus on fodder and/or the trouble of finding a center with fodder), gain extra energy (like it does in a box, as well as from eating), gain morale, and possibly regain health (I know I've had horses get back health being in a box, but never in a meadow)

I think something like this would be a nice change, while still keeping the elements we are used to using.

Again though, this is just a thought that crossed my mind. It should not be taken as a concrete fact or rumor about something coming to the game.

No one is making you play the game..if you don't like the changes, you don't have to stay
default smiley :p

I know we all have our ideas..but if you're going to be so negative in a community forum, I think you should think twice about how and what you say.

You wouldn't talk bad about Sally if she was sitting right in front of you, would you?
*And yes, if you feel you've read my above comment before - that's because it's a slightly altered copy/paste of a post I made a few days back (wish i could quote myself sometimes...so much easier than needing to find my old posts and copy/paste things from them)

Hey Howrse...how about that as an option with the next change? The power to quote ourselves?

Reading Shorah's post a new question came to mind. Will the Hypnos' Blanket be rendered useless since the meadows and boxes are removed?

Hypno's Blankets let you put your horses to bed without being boarded in an EC, so they are still safe!

It just seemed to make sense in my head. In an ec you basically put it in the box to sleep, with the blanket you are kindof putting it in the meadow to sleepdefault smiley :p
Does anyone have an idea as to when testing opens to test all of these things?

Nope. Keep in mind, Hypnos' Blanket allows a horse to be worked and bedded down without needing to board it in a Center (and you can only put a horse in the Meadow/Box if its boarded at a center)

In short - Putting a horse with a Hypnos' Blanket in an EC at all renders the item useless (as boarding defeats the Blanket's purpose default smiley ;))

Nope - though given the fact that the Time Line states that the new changes are going into effect the beginning of February - my guess is that testing will probably start up within the next few days or so (as most testing sessions run for a couple of weeks, then there's a few days after testing used to work out final bugs/issues (hopefully most of which were found during testing), then they are launched on the game.

To me, the beginning of any month is the first 10 days or so. If we started testing tomorrow, and it ran for two weeks from then, testing would end on Feb. 4th - a few days would pass, and chances are high - the features would launch on the 8th or so.

Again though - just my thoughts based on past test sessions. *Do not* take these dates and time frames as facts...
