Will we still be able to buy items such as oats and fodder after the inventories are merged, or will we have to grow everything we use?

I am sorry if this has already been answered, but I have looked a few pages back and haven't found anything.

I don't see why buying won't be an option. Not everyone owns ECs and has the option to grow it.

save them you can make manuar after the update and sell that to the stor if you want and get even more equus for it.
