I too will find myself having to get another bunch of unicorns so I can give them wings as my ones with a unicorn GA coat and a MB bonus item will no longer count as winged unicorns. But those MBs will return to my inventory and I can use them on something else. Having to buy or breed more unicorns, however, will be a nuisance.

Except the ability to make your own choice about whether the GA coat you chose has wings or not. Want a skiller with a Horse coat, but still want to have the Blood bonus? Not any more.

Pointless, annoying, godawful change that would have taken just a bit more consideration for it to be realized that it has more cons than pros. I still don't know what they were even trying to accomplish. I would not like to see this become a reality.

Also, they didn't even mention the fact that the new KWPN coats are MILES away from the ones we were shown, and not in a good way.

Not a happy camper at the moment.

I don't see any problem with it. I can understand how some people might be upset but I chose the horses I give GAs to, specifically for their species so I vary my types of GA coats....

No, those coats were for the warmbloods (Irish Hunter, KWPN, Hanoverian, etc) during the vote Howrse held a few months ago.

Oh, I'm think I'm mixing up the PSH coat with the warmblood one. In that case I prefer the coat from the pole.

No. Those were the Warmbloods. And they are far more accurate representations of what a healthy Warmblood *should* look like.

The ones on display in the Parade right now look like malnourished ponies. I'm so disappointed in Howrse right now. Not to mention (!) The ones at the top were VOTED to become the new Warmbloods by a huge majority. The coats in the test site were *never* shown in the forums.

@Storm Echo Equine - I don't know if there are cute ones. I suppose that depends on your opinion, but I haven't gotten one of each breed yet, so I can't tell you what I think of them. (I'm not even sure if any of the others have new pictures yet.)

The confo on the test site ones just irk me in so many ways. I hope they aren't used, the current QHs and Paints are better, to be honest.

So I have lots of skillers, some "up to date" and lots of older ones who have a horse GA coat with a MB put on afterwards for the skill bonus. Now they will all be losing that MB skill bonus which will make them pretty useless for top level comps.
I suppose I will be getting 3-400 MB's in my inventory, but I will be needing to buy a whole lot of new skillers at high prices - and I think it's a huge shame that from now on the only top skillers we ever see will be wearing Pegasus coats.
It really does seem a pretty pointless exercise - have there been complaints about peggys masquarading as horses I wonder or Darts pretending they can't fly?

will the removal of MB on RC's make us lose the coat? If so I for one will be extremely ticked as I have spent lots of money on some of these coats. It would be better if it effected future coating and not previous coatings.

Hello,
To resolve some consistency issues in the horse sales and the trophies, the priority rules for the customisation items have been reviewed.

Starting now the coat you’ll see in your horse will always fit his specie.
When you give your horse a special coat, if he is already wearing one, the new item erases the old one. (Image & bonus) For instance, if you want to give a Medusa’s Blood to a horse wearing a Golden Apple from the “horse” species, the Golden Apple will disappear from the horse at the moment he becomes a Pegasus.
For all the horses that are already in this situation, the Medusa’s Blood is removed from the horse and placed its owner’s inventory. If you are concerned, you have received a private message.
It isn’t possible any longer to combine the bonus from the special coats (Golden Apple, 5th Element, and Bewitched Pumpkin). Consequently, we have reviewed the bonuses given by special coats as follows, so that they remain interesting:
5th Element:
Earth: +8 in Dressage and + in all the other skills.
Air: +8 in Jumping and + in all the other skills.
Fire: +8 in Speed and + in all the other skills.
Water: +8 in Stamina and + in all the other skills.
Metal: +8 in all the skills.

Bewitched Pumpkin:
All the coats from the Bewitched Pumpkin receive a +5 bonus in all the skills. The bonus specific to the bat coat is combined with it.

The removal of the Pegasus wings from horses wearing coats that do not fit with their species is only applied to the Golden Apple and the Diamond Apple.
The other coats either have a coat available for each species (5th Element) or do not have any corresponding images and are left as they are.

It remains possible to put the Medusa’s Blood on horses with a Bewitched Pumpkin or Hidalgo’s Splint Boots as they do not have a Pegasus version of the coats.

Special cases:
When a horse equipped with a Harmony Pack loses its Golden Apple coat because a new special coat or a Medusa’s Blood has been applied to it, it must be possible to reuse the Golden Apple provided by the Harmony Pack for free on that horse. For instance, this is already the case for when a horse loses its Golden Apple coat when you remove the wings or horns during some events.

Removal of the wings on a Pegasus, removal of the horn on a unicorn.
- If the horse had a Golden Apple (retired or not) or a Diamond Apple: The item is deleted.
- If the horse had a 5th Element coat: the item remains but the coat changes to fit the specie of the horse.
- If the horse has another type of special coat: the item and the coat remain as there is no distinction of the specie on these items.
Normally this should already be the case.


What's going to happen to the unusual coats that do not match their species? For example, back in 2010, before players were able to see a sneak preview of potential new coats and vote for their favorites, a popular coat maker accidentally submitted a winged unicorn variation of a pegasus coat. No one noticed the oversight until after it was available as a Golden Apple. The coat's maker sent an apology to the admins and requested for it to be replaced with the correct image if possible or removed from the game entirely if it was not, for fear that it might set a troublesome precedent or be removed unexpectedly at a later date, after collectors grew attached to the odd thing. No action was taken; the admins decided it was best to just let it be. Years later, that winged unicorn coat is still available as a Golden Apple. Will it, and other novelties like it, finally be removed from the game so that the coats always match the species? I hope not!

We had a horse parade last year. Each day you got a horse (can only be used on the promo page) and you had to earn (tasks) or buy (in flash sales) tack for the horse. Then you clicked a button to have a fictional group of judges assess your horse and they awarded you points. You could save up your points to exchange for prizes default smiley :)

But... but.. I usually like the horse/pony/unicorn coats more than their pegasus counterparts default smiley :(

In sales and trophies I always look at the sales filters and items rather than the actual graphic, it was never a problem for me to filter peggies from non peggies

Lastly, if this happens a RC, will I be at least compensated a GA in return??
