• The current crop of turnips become alfalfa. The cultures become ongoing barley oat crop.
• What is happening with the products you have in your inventory?
below detail tells you how the products were removed from the game have turned in your inventory:

Turnip -> 25X feed
Barley -> oats
Flax -> oats
Energy Mash, mash caloric mash health -> mash
turnip seed -> 25x alfalfa seeds
barley seed -> 5x oat seeds

In other words, I wouldn't bother selling anything except probably all my turnips, I think I would rather the extra equus than a little bit of feed.

I wouldn't sell the turnips. 1 pound of fodder = 1e. So, you could either keep the turnip(s) and get 25 pounds of feed, or you could sell the turnip(s) back to the store for 25e(each). It'll cost the same no matter what, but I'm not going to go through the hassle of buying all the fodder back.

So either it's the same. Plus some of the turnips in your inventory were probably free, so that's a bit of free fodder isn't it? (Promos, ufos, gifts, meadows ect door free)

Perhaps. But we will also need more manure in order to grow crops, so it might balance out.

It really depends on how much fodder you think you will use. If you think you're definitely going to be using more than you would get from your turnips converting, don't bother selling. Although if you think you won't need hardly as much as you would get from your turnips converting, then it would be profitable to sell your turnips rather than letting them turn into fodder and be unused

With merging of inventory we should be using droppings our horses give us (this was also mentioned in the howrse blog way back when it was first being planned.)

Probably around the 10-20 pass range, like the Winds. Ruby and Sapphire will probably be around 20 passes, since they offer diamonds on a 'reliable' basis. Emerald will be 15 because of free Topaz. The rest of them will vary depending on how many diamonds they give on a daily basis. I can see Jade being either 10 passes or 20 passes, depending on how easy it is to raise his skills.
