I'm pretty sure the RC-updates are going to stay secret for a few more months, it was only in the planning stage when it was announced and it takes quite a while from plans to reality default smiley :p

I am curious - why would Howrse do a promo during a Great Challenge session, since the whole POINT of the Challenges was to allow players to essentially "choose" when the promos would begin?

It just doesn't make sense - the rhythm is *supposed* to be Challenge-Promo-Challenge-Promo. The only time we had overlap was when the first lottery had people winning tickets on the last round, and they let it run long for them to get used up.

I don't know why they'd run two such events simultaneously.

Perhaps the new critter we met in Preprod is going to be released NEXT round, and is just being tested for our approval this time?

What you're saying is not at all how I have understood this "thing".
The Challenge is to have us entertained. It will always run, no matter if there's a promo or not, because the challenge isn't a promo, the festivities isn't a promo. It's just there. the only thing we are able to choose is when the festivities start, and the festivities should not be confused with the promos! The promos are much longer after all... There's nothing on the howrse blog that says anything about that the promos will start after we've finished a challenge, just that the festivities will start. And the festivities are always 5 days long. We can't have a piñata promo that is 5 days long, can we? Besides it says on the blog that the festivities are always a lottery with some offers..

So simply put, the challenge and promos aren't really related. As I understood it the challenge will run independently of whatever promos we have, it will always be there, challenge-festivities-challenge etc.

But that's just how I understood it, I really see no problem with having a promo an the challenge at the same time.

Funny - in all this time, I never paid attention the the bit buried in the blog that says it was always be a Lottery. Thank you for that, phönix, that clarifies my thinking a LOT.

Now I understand a bit better. default smiley :)

About the gemstone divines. All of them will be available in the reserved sales right? Including the latest ones like Onyx? I know the price range. It is about the same as all the other divines that was in the reserved sales which was 10-20 passes. When the gemstone divines are released in the reserved sales, does anyone know if they will be released all at once or will it be a few everyday? Also, does anyone might know approximately when these gemstone divines might be released in the reserved sales?


I would assume that yes, all will be released except for diamond of course. As for the date, it's been floating around from other servers and the test sight that it will be the 26th, but we don't have a statement from an admin on that.

My close guess to when the EC update may happen is August - September - or Novemeber. But of course no one really knows. I just have a weird feeling it might be in those few months.
But while I wait, there is no better time then the presen to try and vamp up your Equus on either reserve, so that you have loads when the merge comes around. default smiley *-)

I actually dont want the equus to merge now. Every month I like to buy boxes for my EC and range how much equus I have to a certain number so I can budget myself. I wouldn't be able to cope with so much equus to look at and try not spend every single day! It eould kill me from the inside-out and then I'd be broke D:

Lordi lord.... that makes sense, but I never thought they would do that either.
So now we will have 2 promos running at the same time....yes yes some say the Challenge isn\t a promo....my book says it is..... so there default smiley (lol)

Not a fan of the pinajas - way too many clicks needed at crazy hours.
I do not intend to even try and go for the shiny. I do not like the perks he offers.
So the choice will be easy for me on the pinjata thing.... a few clicks then moving along collecting shoes default smiley :p

Really if we have the Great Challenge and the Lottery running with another promo it just means more for us to win in a way. But I think that might get complicated. Doing to things at once! Going to have to divide my attention from the GC objectives and the piñatas!

a type of lottery, esp. at a fête, in which tickets are drawn from a revolving drum

I don't think so. That would place it during the lottery, as the lottery ends on the 28th. We were thinking it would be during the GC.
