I don't want to be rude, so please don't put it like this. Reading the previous page it looks like people are anoyed about how hard it is to get Mars. Then there is this:

yeah because they should come less times but easier to get when they come
they are offered too often so no one has time to save up and they are too expensive
the fact that they are offered often doesnt mean they are easy to get it

Solars & Balios type divines will never be easier to come by and they should stay that way. My original Mars cost me 120,000+ new passes to get, so I do believe it's a reasonable price with the current success rate. Players with lower seniority do complain all the time about divines and their drop rate in luck items, but how about long term players, who payed insane amount of money for the most precious divines back in the days when not only they were expensive, but they also were available to try for like 2 times during the entire year?

So, I would rather say such divines should come EXPENSIVE + be RARELY offered in promos. No matter how unfair that sounds to players with less seniority.

Getting them easy will ruin the game completely.

i dont remember how much he cost when he came out but i am sure it was much less than 1200 passes
i dont think divines should cost less than when they came out i think they should cost about the same or maybe a bit more
i never kept track of how much the divines cost me to get in events but i think its much less than they usually cost in weekend promos
the fact that it was expensive for you doesnt mean it should be much more expensive now

Mars was originally released in the CARDS, he was in a Diamond card, so no, 1200 old passes is not an accurate price estimate. Old Card events were usually finished with 15 old passes.

I kept a record for my earlier divines so I believe it cost me 25 old passes exactly. Maybe he was re-released two or three years later in the luck items? I am not sure as I was off the game.

I am wondering if it is possible to get solars from the Christmas package. It seems like a more economical way. I remember that I hoped to get Jupiter from the Christmas pack last year, but I am not sure why I didn't. Did they restrict it to certain sets of divines?

They were back in the day, but since 2016 it's been Mythological Divines only.

25 passes is consistent with a pretty unlucky streak with cards, especially since yours comes from May 2012, which is the date of the original release (Journey Cards 2012).
He was then released again only ONCE, in 2017, in the Direct Sales for 20 passes.

I did not get him from Cards event, I got him from TC promo. It costed me much more than now, that was my point.

I only remember him released in Reserved Sales for 20 passes, I guess I could be wrong and he was released in TCs, too, at the same time as the reserved sales, May 2017, then it's my bad.


But as somebody who spent 80 old passes on an Amethyst they DIDN'T get, I'd only be thrilled if the next Divines were cheaper than that. My opinion, of course.

Let's be clear I don't disagree with you, specifically, because I agree that yes, some Divines should stay rare (in fact Gem Divines we hadn't seen since 2017, and before that they were only released in their respective promo and in the best promos of all time, the Halloween "Pick your Divine" ones) and that YES, they should be moderately expensive.
That said! I do not agree with 12000 passes being a reasonable price. It's completely unreasonable.

It's OK, I just wrote that to clarify my point, I didn't mean to start a fight or anything. Solars were released in Spring 2017, and in mid May it was Mars in TC; he was insanely expensive, and I blew all my passes on him; it was something like 126 or 130, and today, I got 2 Mars for about 80 passes. So I am just saying - even though 80 passes is a huge amount for a new player - it feels like now even the most precious divines are cheaper than before and easier to get, that's all.

Oh no no, Indeed you are correct and it was my messing up the dates the problem, so it's absolutely not on you.

And yes, I understand your point, as I blew all my passes to try and get that Amethyst *grinding gears of pain*, but 12,000 passes is an ABSURD amount of money to ask for! And yes, even in 2017 they shouldn't have gotten that far. And today 80 passes is not the common amount, as the bar is set to 12,000-15,000 passes for Mars by completing the bar, which is unreasonable to ask for, when they were sold for TWENTY passes in the direct sales, and for 3400 this Black Friday. That's it default smiley :)

it doesnt matter if the player is new the price of divines in weekend promos is too much
i agree with you that divines should not be cheap or common but if mars originally costed 25 passes he should maybe cost like 30 to 40 passes and not the huge 120 passes that he costs now and that he costed you in TCs

Hmmm... after 2+ years on the game I find divines are a little easier to get. But I don't think they are actually easier... I just have a higher in-game pass income each month. The more pass paying divines you have, the more new ones you can afford. Plus I've got more ways of getting passes in game.

I'd also like to say that 'hard to get' and 'expensive to get' are not always the same thing. In some cases they are. Yes, many people work hard to earn real life money that they spend on the game: I'm not putting that down. But within the game if you have plenty of money to spend then it's easy to get divines, at the time you get them at least. I think 'hard to get' would be if you had to work at it, solve hard puzzles or something.

Some brand new players have the real life money to get every divine going. Some experience more hard work and frustration like I did default smiley ;)

I do think that if you look at the prices in terms of what real money you'd spend if you got them with real money, then the prices are totally nuts. They are just pixels that will go 'poof' if the game ever does....

yes but if they were really cheap the game woldnt be fun
i think a good way to look at a divines worth is how long its gonna take to pay you back the money you spent on that divine
6 years for mars is way too much
i think a fair amount time that a divine should pay you back in should be 2 years or 3 maximum so by that logic mars should cost 3600 to 5400

I think that goes back to my hard v expensive point. No matter what price you put on them, to some people that's going to be cheap. I think it's them being HARD to get that makes it fun (though also very frustrating at first!).

I do agree they should pay back in 2-3 years max.

Speaking of.. anyone got a good estimate of when the next cards promo is? Based on when we last saw the promo and how often they tend to come around. It's one of my favourite promos honestly, easy way to get a divine or two with not too many passes - though I suspect they'll offer some sort of companion or tack instead...

Is it normal to have a divine in reserved sales expire on Friday, to be replaced by another divine the same day? I'm really hoping to see something good in HoPs this weekend, I prefer trying my luck to buying them.
