They weren't available to purchase in the black market in testing on preprod, so probably won't be on the live version. I hope they change that though.

I guess I'm part of the minority - I like the sound of the new pass system. I will be able to get free passes by playing with the howrses I want to play with, instead of siphoning my time off into pass horses... of course, I can well understand why those who play on phones and such would be upset. I would think that fixing the minigames, or at least coming up with an alternative where applicable would be a priority before making such changes...

I think I actually like this newest change. I was never a Pass Horse person, I've actually only killed 4 and only because they got old, not because I raised them for it.
As far as I understand, we'll be getting (if this change comes to international Howrse) 120 Passes per year (If I'm wrong, someone please correct me). This, for me, means 20 passes for anything I like and 100 for a years worth of VIP Account, which I've wanted for ages. I agree though, as I said earlier, that a list (even a very vague one!) should be provided by Howrse on some hints about how to get those 30 points a day.

Actually, to players who DO kill horses to get 30 passes a month they would be losing 240 passes per year, so it's easy to see why people are upset. Personally, this change would ruin my game. I am very busy with school and one of the reasons I like aging pass horses is that you don't have to log on everyday to ensure you get your passes. I fill comps, ap hunt, and do lessons with those horses and doing so helps my ranking,helps my team with aps, helps other players blup and helps me gain equus. If I miss a day, it's not going to make or break my game for the month. This change would make it so that players have to log in everyday and perform god knows what or how many tasks, and I find that completely ridiculous. Miss one day, go on vacation, get sick, and you've not getting all ten passes for the month! I honestly thought when they changed the 30 day pass system it would be fine, but here I am, a player who takes care of at least 40 horses a day and take care of my E.C and there are still days when I don't get the full ten points. I've given up, I don't have time, and if I didn't purchase passes before there is no way I am going back to that after this change. If anything, I'll go back to running my account with equus only, and not bother with whatever new special pony that's being released that week and whatever "perk" it has . Anyways, that's just my opinion on the matter

I totally understand why people are upset about the pass change. That's a lot of lost passes for people who can't afford to buy that many with real money. I have never killed a pass horse, the only way I got passes was from selling horses, or from my monthly one that I bought with my reserve, so this change doesn't really affect me.
I really do not like the fact that now killing horses or sending them to the safe haven is an achievement. That's pointless. It takes no skill. And not only are people getting a ranking, they're getting a divine as well. I never liked people who complained about not getting a divine. And now everyone gets one. It's just not special. I have taken a lot of time and effort into saving up passes so I can try to get divines. And it worked. I have had a total of 8 divines, 7 are still in my possession. And now everyone gets one because of something that really doesn't matter with this game. I don't know why Howrse is doing this. Maybe to try and filter out all the lower, bad horses that no one wants? I can't seem to wrap my head around why any of this is happening

But it is quite silly if they all pretend that theyre doing it for the players. Yes, maybe it will be a small help for the new players, but some of them will try to become more and more advanced players and this change will block their way to progress.It is not only a change for begginers to have passes but it will change the whole market. From higher prices on direct sales to higher prices of skillers (like 8passes fot the top skiller isnt enough) and changing a VIP accounts into an investment of your real money.

They are bringing back Greyfell, but does anyone know if you will need to spend passes to try and get that card or how to get that card?

It is luck based, so you do not need to buy card packs to get a diamond card. If you are lucky you can get one from winning a competition or logging in. Unless they've changed it for this promo (unlikely) or you have very bad luck, you won't need to spend anything. Just keep in mind even if you get a diamond card it doesn't guarantee the greyfell, as it could be a card needed for one of the more expensive gifts

Will we be receiving a message from Howrse this week about the pass changes?

the updates are *currently* only for 3 servers starting Nov. 8. We don't know when we will actually be getting them. I thought someone said that Equideow had the Loyal Player's Pass for over a year before that change came here, so who knows when we will actually get this.

Well I am not so sure about that. There are surveys on Czech, Bulgarian an Italian servers yet only on Czech server we can see the results and they are not so optimistic about those changes. The majority voted against them, but the Italian admin wrote that Italian are against the changes, too. Italian, Czech and also Bulgarian admins wrote similar messages about the surveys and the change. They told players that changes ARE going to happen and they are going to test them in this form (10x25yo -> divine + pass for unknown activites 1 passfor3days), altough the results showed that players dont want to change anything about passes and they dont want to test this form or thety are not so sure about them. Everyone is worried about all this 'passes thing', but it looks like the changes are going to happen if not in this form then in another and who knows what else will they come up with.

Test starts november 8. on those 3 servers.
