Crossing my fingers the Athena's Medal is in HoPs and not in the Black Market. I'd love to get my hands on some of those!

Usually whenever a HoP is offered in an event (everyone got one from the banana peel WH) a divine or bmi or something is offered in the HoP, so maybe we'll find something.

On another note, I have been thinking, if howrse got in trouble for the gambling thing and had to add fragments, then how come they got away with offering Weta in HoP's with no fragments? Kind of contradictory.

The Athena's Medal is very very likely to be in the BM just at the tail braids were last week. Howrse has thrown a variety of things in the BM lately and I expect the Medal to be no different.

Doubt it was actual trouble, or they would have needed to post the % of their luck items, so on and so forth.
I think it was more of a market strategy? People get discouraged so you give them a little "work towards something".

Unless I missed the part where they got in trouble default smiley :)

There really is no way to 'get ahead' because the Burst of Laughter Wanderer is still locked, and you'd end up wasting precious resources default smiley :)

It's the slow waiting game until Sunday, I'm afraid.

I know, at least in china, that gambling without the odds being stated is illegal. This is why games like League Of Legends have recently had to start adding the win % of their luck items. That being said league was brought by tencent, a chineese company, so im not sure if its because the company is now based in china that they have to abide by these rules. Genshin impact is another example of a gatcha system which is forced to show % but while now in taiwan they started as a chineese company too. I'm not too sure but i do believe any game that has servers in china which i believe howrse does should be stating their luck item percentages somewhere.

Personally however, a change to the luck system in this game would be an overhaul i would wholeheartedly accept. I also believe when you run a luck based system, percentages should be stated. Its only moral. I don't know if any other older players have noticed, but i'm sure they have tampered with the win rate % of divines in luck items over the years, becoming stingier and stingier.

I think they have a chineese dedicated server though i might be wrong. I'm not sure where the server for asia would be located as if it was france it would cause some serious lag but ive never known ubisoft to care anywaydefault smiley xd

What does it matter if they are stated? You do know that the code behind could do whatever they want it to, right? Like it's all the same if the page tells me I have 30% chance to win whatever when the actual multiplier in their code is downsizing my chances to 1%... Stating whatever random figure on a page will help them avoid any legal issues, but it will not increase my chances of winning something up to that figure.

The actual problem is that the sense of moral and making as much money as possible are concepts that do not agree with each other. It's a basic fact of human existence that we all consent with at some point of our lives.

I wonder just how broke howrse is now that they're screaming for money by releasing immortal pass divines every week, forcing us to pay cash for the crown in every event and shutting down a bunch of servers. Do you think they'll ever start shutting down bigger servers? Or do you think this is because the smaller servers were not profitable, that is especially referring to the ones that were forced onto discord in a language they don't know. Although I doubt the smaller servers not being profitable is the only reason that they're screaming for money.

Because if people know they have a 0.6% chance of getting a divine they probably won't go for it. If they don't know the chances they will feel luckier. Most of the times people will only think of when they got X divine first try and not Y divine after 80. Feeling luckier is especially when items like the titan's challenge show other people *only* winning top prizes (exceptions of divines placed at lvl 7 most are at 6). Thats why they have the 'share your winnings' in the first place on that item. It's a matter of when they go in blind, most people won't understand where their luck lies and end up spending so much that by the time they are done the 5 extra TCs it will take to get the final fragments will seem so worth it. I'm also pretty sure they cant tell you that you have a 30% chance of winning something and then code it down to 1%. That would most certainly end in a legal battle at some point and a company like Ubisoft wouldn't want that over a game that likely makes less than 1% of their yearly profit.

Basically, they won't release the chances because they are so low that people would not buy the luck items as often if they actually realized how low it was, rather than just going in off of blind hopium.

I got the divine first try... My luck will never be the same. Best why not moment.

but i'm a little doubtful since it was altogether skipped last year if i remember right. Fingers crossed!default smiley *-)

(I wasn't sure this would need a spoiler since i'm not announcing that this is coming, its just hopeful thinking on my part, but i went ahead and used the banners just in case somebody got confused and thought i had found something about it and this was happening for sure.)
