Cruella, they should just make a series of countries. Like one horse per country. That way the smaller countries who wouldnt get series can be recognized! (Ie, Korea, Italy, small countries like Latvia or like Ethopia or Brazil or something)

There is also a fairy tale about the Town Musicians of Bremen, which would be really nice in this series since there is a donkey in the tale. We have Momotaro, who is a character from a fairy tale, but he is in the Japanese set. So I am expecting more things like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, the Little Mermaid, maybe Aladdin. Oh thanks, that is nice to know! I never thought about googling him, but today I did and it explains why he has a dog, a monkey and a pheasant with him

A series of divines based off countries? It would be very fun. Indeed, lots of room for clichés and stereotypes, which I could find amusing. French would have a beret and a baguette, of course. But there are, what, 197 countries in the world? I feel like they would have to choose a limited amount, not to have a series of 50+ divines. In Europe only there are around 50 countries if I'm not mistaken. So sadly, I think only the biggest countries would be selected, so I doubt we'll have a divine representing Lithuania or Georgia anytime soon. It would be so cool though.

Click to display There's too much of a risk of accidentally offending somebody with their depiction, and you can't very well publish something that could be considered hurtful or offensive. Stereotypes can be fine, but not all the time. I recall a couple of players being extremely hurt by the Hike event based on the Holi Festival, and I can see the point of those who said that their culture is not to be made a spectacle for other people. You'd get in sticky situations really fast and really deep. That said, I'm hoping Harlequin will get company soon, as my country is chock full of masks go with his adventures

I wouldn't touch a Nation and Country series with a 50 feet pole, honestly. I feel like it could be possible to have neutre representation of countries. For example, the country's most known horse breed (if they have one), with a banner or something with the country's flag. It would avoid any risk of offending someone. (Unless it exists countries with debates around the flag?)But such a series isn't realistic to make in my eyes, it would always be the same big countries like for the love and Christmas divines and the falabellas. There's no way they would create a series of +197 divines. Even for the entirity of Europe, it would be insane.

I think Natoo meant that there is not 197 countries but more than 200. But UN doesn’t recognize all of them for political reasons, like Taïwan. Some are only recognized by some countries, but not all, like Israel. Some anticolonialistes want to add the former colonies which are not totally independent ( sometimes by choice) like French Guyane and many islands. Some are recognized by all country but one, like China ( no, I don’t know who doesn’t recognize China).

Click to display I love learning about different countries, so I would love a country divine set, but yeah, it seems too impossible. Even if you manage to have the least offensive portrayal of each country, simple inclusions or omissions (Taiwan, etc.) would offend someone. Also, the flag seems neutral, but what flag would you use in the case of Afghanistan, for example? There are a whole host of potential problems. I'm wondering if they could do a continent/region divine series instead, and make it less controversial. I don't really know what that would look like, but I'm imagining a horse surrounded by/studded with random things like common plants, animals, foods of that region. Like Antarctica could be white, icy, with little penguins and whales. I am trying to think of ways they could represent Europe or Asia, for example, but that does seem hard, so they could just separate them into Northern Europe/Scandinavia maybe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, East Asia, West Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia? Just a random thought.
