Thanks for your answer! Looks like it's actually a pretty great opportunity to get divines. I remember reading somewhere that the prices were way too high and the divines were practically impossible to buy. I was expecting to see prices in the realms of 5.000 to 10.000 passes lol  But seeing your list, seems like the complaints were probably coming from people who just didn't know how to save passes efficiently. Time to stock up!

And you'd sometimes have to wait hours for the divine you wanted to show up *flashbacks*  How much notice did they give us last year, anyone remember? I thought it was 2 weeks but yesterday was the two week mark

I will be so irked for the rest of the year Click to display To be fair, everyone always says that Black Friday isn't a guarantee, and that we don't really know if they're going to do it again, etc. etc. So, you can't really be mad at the game if it doesn't happen. We've only had it twice, and it's not like Howrse said it was going to be regular scheduled programming. But, yeah, on the other hand I can understand the frustration. Saving up a bunch of passes for nothing. Hopefully it will happen! There's literally been anticipation for it all year, and we know the Admins read the forums. So, it would be kind of cruel to allow players to be excited over the possibility of Black Friday and not end up doing it, or not telling us they weren't doing it this year.

But to be fair, they never give Spoilers during the weekend (because they don't work, and the Twitter posts are pre-recorded and rolled automatically), so if they want to give us anything it'll be this week.

The ONE picture we had was because somebody from the Spanish preprod managed to steal one before they realized what they had live for less than a minute.

Click to display On the discord server someone posted pictures of black friday, same format. All the divines then for about 5000p each, ofc irl it was different. But it was tested, I wasn't a tester then, but I do remember people who tested it. |

And since you're doubting, or we wouldn't be here, Here . All we had. ONE screen from Caballow, which was deactivated one minute later. If we had tested it, we would have told you, I promise.  I could have sworn there was a spoiler and people had tested the event. Guess not though. But I do remember people saying that they had tested it. But maybe that was 2 years ago. |
I don't recall testing the Black Friday sales either of the years we've had it. The only forewarning we had was the Admin forum post or social media, besides the preprod snippet Nalu mentioned.
I remember everyone kind of fumbled around a bit in the beginning both years because we had no clue what we were doing

Direct sales went for passes and auctions were equus. The year before that I think they popped up randomly in normal sales, Im sure someone knows more about that then me

Click to display can someone explain how the Black Friday thing works on here? Last year there were various divines in the Flash Sales and auctions. The Flash Sale divines were for passes, the auctions for equus, and the flash sale prices were rather decent. Divines would appear on a dedicated flash sales page throughout the day. You'd see a divine picture and name with a little countdown on it, and when the countdown ended and the divine showed up you just had to be really quick to purchase it before anyone else. There wasn't a schedule of divines, so we never knew which would be offered when. You just had to keep checking the page. There were limits to how often you could purchase a divine. I think it was once every 12 hours per sale type? It lasted Black Friday weekend which would be Nov. 26-28 this year, if we consider it Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For the first year, the sales were only one day, and it was more scheduled. A dozen or so divines would pop in the regular direct sales every hour, and there were no purchasing limits.

*flashbacks* I am thoroughly prepared to stay up late with you again this year... especially since I have college applications to finish and the University of California schools' applications are due on the 30th. I hope they bring back the purchasing limits on Black Friday this year but allow us to see the divines go through the sales even if we can't purchase. It'll prevent the event thread from getting clogged with updates. |

I just went on a buying spree on preprod and here's what I've found:
Click to display I spent 4,750 passes on 50 packs of cards, which makes 200 cards total. From that I got: 24 jokers 116 duplicates 36 unique puzzle cards 26 unique prize cards Which amounts to: 100 bronze cards 55 silver cards 20 gold cards 25 diamond cards A bunch of those diamonds were duplicates though. I exchanged one to get the new Christmas horse. I am now missing: 3 gold puzzle cards 1 silver puzzle card 1 bronze puzzle card Of course, I used my jokers to finish those gaps, but this should paint a good picture of the overall card luck from buying card packs, especially in bulk. |
