Click to display Last year at about this same time, Howrse had the Ice Palace promotion where Roby helped you break through the ice doors to get prizes. You could upgrade him to drill longer or have more power. I liked him because he looked so cute and thought he would make a nice companion. You can see an image of him on Howrse's Facebook page. Click to display I am honestly excited about the return of the companions. But I can see why others are not. I bought lots in sales and got some from quitting players. They are expensive and I still have not gotten the camel, ladybug or bee. Some players will never get the chance to even own a companion and complete the trophies. I get it. It would be unfair for some, but completely fair for others. What I think should be done about the companions is instead of releasing old images of the same companions, they make new images instead. For example, make a new look for the owl companion, but it would still count for the trophy the same way as the older version. Same owl, different look. Kinda like the DA or RC for horses. You can't get the same ones anymore. They are retired. Gone. Limited amounts available. That way, older companions would still hold a unique value in sales or for overall collectors. Similar to the HOG, or DA. Hope that makes sense.  I agree! Can't wait to get some!

Old companions would lose some of their trophy value but retain their value as rare collectables so it wouldn't be completely disregarding the time and money players have put into gathering those collections. It would also come with the added perk of giving collectors a new set of companions to collect if they wanted to, so they could aim to have a full set of old companion coats and a full set of the new companion coats (not for trophy purposes, just for the fun of collecting).

Click to display We should just bring back the horn of gold. Even with the common pets being re-released, the previous HOG coats are going to be just as rare. Could use some more pet designs, especially with Grizzly, Weta, etc I hope they re-introduce the Bee pet at some point. I started culling off some pets but wouldn't have if I knew they'd be re-released. My Ladybug is lonely

It's such a great idea for keeping everyone happy: collectors with originals still get the rarity, and everyone gets a chance at the trophies. Realistically, I think it's probably too late to change the ones that are being tested on preprod. Though I would love to be proved wrong. However since some of the rarest companions (Bee, ghost, dragons etc) haven't been seen yet, maybe they could at least do it for them? Heck, if they don't want to pay an artist they could have a competition for it!

Click to display I've been scanning this topic (like I usually do, because I'm such a spoiler)  and I hear some rumors about companions or HoG coming back. Is this just a rumor or a a true fact? I can never be sure, or maybe I didn't read enough.  If they are... I'm not sure if I should be excited or not. I think I'm mainly excited, I have one or two companions and would like to get more without spending a load of equus or passes. I can see why some people are frustrated though, their value will drop and the work of those collectors out there will be ruined. I'm not a collector myself, so my vote is... please bring them back!

Collectors will still have their valued companions, and non-collectors or new players would have a chance at building up their own farm.

Click to display seeing the return of older companions on the test server, and there have been some images from the test server shown in the last few pages you can take a look at. But sometimes what we see on the test server does change when it reaches the live version, so it's not a guarantee we'll see everything as it's been shown (the price being the main thing that will definitely change). The one thing that hasn't been mentioned officially on the test server is the return of the Horn of Gold, so that one is still up in the air

Hi! In Insect World, I have never paid for the third slot. Now it tells me that if I pay for the third slot today, I would not only get a purple chest but also divine fragments and boosters. So specifically how much divine fragments and boosters will I get if I pay for the third slot? Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! if you click on it in the popup window it says 30 fragments and 30 boosters! but this belongs in the event topic for the insect world since its currently in game and wasnt tested... seems like they added the offer last minute b/c nobody was buying the slot!

What is the Horn of Gold? It allowed companions to be customised, like Apples do horses. I think it came as part of the harmony pack? HOGs can be found in the sales pretty easily: if you go to the trophies page, Animal friends, and open 'All the animals', which is next to it, it shows the usual pictures. Click one of the links for companion sales, and you should be able to find a few marked as HOG or 'unknown'. You can also look in the 'Companion Coats' thread. NB: if anyone buys one, think twice about changing the unlimited ray it comes with: many of them are retired rays and have value too.

Click to display Hot take on the companions: Companions are available in the form of a luck black market item, the Companions chest:  "Give your horses a companion! Give your horse a companion and take advantage of the bonus it comes with! Companions are selected randomly from the list below. Every time you win a companion, it is removed from the chest, giving you higher chances of winning the remaining ones. When the chest gets empty, it will be once again refilled with all the companions from the list." The companions chest costs 1 pass (new money) and contains 21 companions, which have rarities as divine, precious, rare or common. There is one Divine (llama), 5 Precious (owl, frog, dog, grizzly and wetta), 7 Rares (camel, sheep, kangaroo, cat, turtle, bear and penguin) and 8 comon (goat, squirrel, giraffe, swallow, rabbit, butterfly, hen and monkey). The new llama companion gives a +10 dressage bonus.  I'll be trying to get all the companions from the chest over the next few days and will make sure to let you all know how many passes it takes me. It's also worth noting while your horse cannot have multiple companions, you can give a horse that already has a companion the chest for one pass again. The current companion will be replaced with a random new one. So if you want your horse to have a specific companion, it may take a while and could be expensive but you're not stuck with whatever you get the first time. Three companions are also available from the Egg Decoration event: The rabbit, the hen and the new ostrich:  The ostrich gives a speed bonus as opposed to the dressage bonus given by most others. The hen is found in the Little Pink Egg and costs three of each decoration. The rabbit is found in the Big Yellow Egg and costs 3 stripes, 4 shapes and 5 figures, as well as decorating 5 eggs prior. The ostrich is found in the Very Big Pink Egg and costs 4 stripes, 6 shapes and 5 figures as well as decorating 9 eggs prior. I'll be making a master post with all the info on companions when I have my thoughts in order, but this should do ok for now. The companions that are prizes in the event will go to your inventory so you can choose the horse later

It will most likely be released with the Decorations. The Decorations promo comes after Forgotten Country. Hope this helps

We're still not sure yet Click to display if we'll get the bee, ladybug or "divine creatures" back (as the ghosts, dragons and phoenix aren't in the chest either). We've asked about the ones that are missing from the chest, but the news is that it's not sure if/when those will come back
