How many have or have had horses?

I'm just curious. It seems like most people on here have horses, or at some point did. I'm a player who started because I've never owned, or ridden a horse. I've probably pet a horse five times in my life. They are my favorite animal and always have been.

I've always wanted one, but make no where near the budget to have one. I've also never bothered trying to take lessons because horse riding has never really been an interest to me. On top of the fact lessons, as well as gear is expensive! No one I know owns horses either.

I have a mini shetland but he's scared of going on the trailer due to a previous bad experience before we owned him

We have 8 miniature horses and 1 Arabian horse. We are looking to sell a few so we can get another Arabian. We retired my son miniature and now he is interested in riding. He told grandma she needs another saddle horse so we can ride together. So adorable.

I'm a racehorse trainer now. Been riding my entire life. Had at least one horse of my own for 18 years.

I've had my own horses for about 6 years now. We've been through it. Most recently I've been starting my own colts & LOVE it.

I've got my own gelding back home and grew up on a ranch with a bunch of horses. My family still has 5-6 horses, quarter horses for the most part. We use them mostly for cattle but sometimes they go in parades.

I took horseback riding lessons and worked at a college that has horses. I took classes but not going to say which one. Haven’t rode for years. Never couldn’t afford a horse.

I own a paint mare in Kentucky. <3 She's been around since my childhood. Since I have kids now she is with my aunt until I can bring her home.

Purchased at an auction when she was 4 years old, (Now she is well aged.) I named her Beauty as she has a diamond shape on her head. default smiley (l) We road on a holler back in the woods in Kentucky and we had our privacy and our memories and fun. default smiley (l) I miss her terribly. But when I was a child she was my best friend...and I like to think I still am. Tho I cannot see her daily like when we was little, shes thriving in her age and so well taken care of. default smiley (l)

I have a shetland/welsh 2yo filly (Misty). I bought her last August, and I also have her 5 month old surprise colt (Kai). Both are keepers for life, but my filly is my true heart horse default smiley (l)

I have! I currently have three; two Quarter Horse geldings and a Haflinger mare. I’ve had six pass on, all from incredibly old age, ha.

I used to own an off track thoroughbred a few years ago, he had passed from colic and we suspect stomach cancer. I currently own a draft cross now, who is the goofiest gelding ever. I have become a better rider thanks to him and my trainers.
