7,5/10, quite unique, but not my style.
Pearls of Wisdom? |
6/10 I wouldn't use it myself, but it's quite interesting and I could see the appeal.
Evelyn? (I'll give the background story for my reasoning behind this one: My favourite band recently opened their own social network that I'm part of, and on this I can read the amazing works of Laurence Beveridge, 1 of 2 frontmen for the band. Evelyn is the red-headed beauty mentioned in both Laur's first novel, Ruple and Evelyn, and the novel that ties in with their debut album Militia Of The Lost, which goes by the same title. I have not read the other novels yet so I don't know if she makes an appearance. Anywho, Evelyn puts our dear male antagonists through heartbreak and one chapter, Mascara Tears, made me weep for poor Princey, who'd fallen in love with Evelyn yet could never be with her again. Evidently, I have not yet finished Militia because there were only 89 pages or so originally released, the rest was saved for Obsidian Bond, the social network mentioned above. Because Evelyn is such an important character and has brought trauma to us Lost Hearts throughout the novels, I feel the name itself reminds one of heartbreak, and this makes it all the more beautiful and imaginative. Also, Laurence Beveridge used it, is that not enough? Grandomina deserves this recognition, even if Evelyn makes us poor readers weep our little hearts out =))
