Rate the horse name above you (:
10/10 Moonlight Sonata is one of my favourite pieces. I think it’s fit a calm appy mare really well. I also like it since my QH’s dam’s name is Sonata Bar San.
Mine are: Blu/Blue Blaize Star Winter Dusty Acorn Pumpkin Caramel Toffee Spice Jax Arrow Shadow Moonlight Midnight Sorry that’s a lot I maybe got a bit carried away

Blu/Blue- 9/10 I like this one even though it isn't original. It reminds me of the jurassic world deinonychus(not a velociraptor)
Blaize- 6/10 Not terrible but I don't get much meaning out of it. Star - 7/10 Sweet but still common. Winter - 7/10 Maybe for a white mare. Dusty - 4/10 Just to reused. Acorn - 5/10 Cute and simple. Pumpkin - 5/10 I feel like this one is seasonal. Caramel - 4/10 Over used. Toffee - 4/10 Over used. Spice - 6/10 Sounds cool but could use more meaning. Jax - 8/10 Unique Arrow - 6/10 Could mean the weapon or the type of arrows you point with. I would put an adjective in here. Shadow - 7/10 Cool but not original. Moonlight - 6/10 Elegant but overused. Midnight - 5/10 If you want a dark name this would work but it doesn't have a lot of beauty to the pronouciation. Mine: Carpe Diem Song of the Wild Strict Regime Royal Command New-Age Dream High Prospects Fruitful Treasure |
Carpe Diem- 6/10not my style
Song of the Wild- 10/10 great for a horse with the wind element! Strict Regime- 2/10 weird Royal Command- 8/10 good for a horse with a large personality! New-Age Dream- 4/10 too odd High Prospects- 4/10 ok Fruitful Treasure - 9/10 nice! Mine: Skippy Casper King of the Wind Bella Autumn
|
Skippy: 5/10 not my style
Casper: 7/10 suit a white horse King of the wind: 8/10 interesting name Bella: 4/10 overused Autumn: 9/10 suit a chestnut mare Mine: Odin Thor Loki Kahn Had a bit of a theme going when they were born 12 years ago
|
Odin: 7/10 nice aspect, but not my favorite
Thor: 8/10 I like how you used ancient gods as names Loki: 8/10 same as before, and Loki is one of my favorites of the ancient gods Kahn: 7/10 not my favorite, but pretty good My name's: Comet Java Joe Winnie Redwood Hope you like them!

By Retired breeder, 3rd June 2022 21:08:24
Jubilee -- 6/10 original
Roxy -- 4/10 Perhaps for a grey mare Lola -- 8/10 lovely name Dior -- 7/10 kind of reminds me of the cologne brand, but I like it! Rio -- 9/10 Love it, it just screams colorful and happy Mine: Brightstorm (for a white mare) Sparkle Flash Cricket Moonshadow Rose Ruby Wildfire Whirlwind Strawberry That is all, thanks for reading! |

ok, i actually forgot some of my names for my horses. my revised list is:
Brightstorm (for a white mare) Sparkle Flash Cricket Moonshadow Rose Ruby Wildfire Whirlwind Strawberry Osiris (ancient egyptain god of the underworld) Khonsu (ancient egyptian god of the moon & time) Silver (again, for a white mare) Sorry, i know it's long! |
Brightstorm (for a white mare)- 10/10 ooooh, I love it!
Sparkle- 8/10 great, but a tad too overused. Flash- 10/10 love this name!!! Cricket- 5/10 I am not a fan of bugs..... Moonshadow- 6/10 ok Rose- 10/10 such a sweet name! Ruby Wildfire 7/10 interesting Whirlwind -9/10 great for a energetic horse! Strawberry -9/10 nice! Osiris (ancient egyptain god of the underworld) -1/10 not my type at all. Khonsu (ancient egyptian god of the moon & time) -1/10 same as the other Silver (again, for a white mare) - I really like it! Here are mine: Roxy Carolina (twins) Karolina (twins) Willow Luna Starlight Champ Eden
|
They are all kind of ok all in the 7/10 range totally reasonable names
The only one I would rate low like 2/10 or 3/10 is Karolina and Carolina. One name or the other is ok but together that is just confusing. In game it will work and is pretty easy to sort out IRL no thank you. "hey go grab Carolina and tack her up!" "Ummm which Karolina?" Might be ok if they developed barn names like just C and K but wow what if they were in the same show, the same class. Mind I'm probably overthinking. I do that. Let's see a while back some one posted horses they knew in real life and I liked that. Rocket (super tall super fast chestnut) Spot (yeah he was and appy) JingJingJingel (jockey club name) barn name Jinx (big sweetheart gray ottb) Oliver (the horse I should have bought but I was a kid with no money) Rambo (retired dun polo pony with the bumpiest trot ever and a tendency to be head shy. Also the first horse I fell off of)
|
Rocket - 4/10 A super tall super fast chestnut horse is actually the kind of horse I would expect to be named Rocket
Spot - 7/10 I love appies named Spot T^T It's cliche and adorable Jinx - 10/10 I am so biased to the name Jinx 1. cause I love Arcane and the character Jinx and 2. I would name a horse Jinx in a heartbeat Oliver - 6/10 pretty cute! Love a little Ollie Rambo - 5/10 its cute! Here's my list of names from my horses! Satin - the most kind-hearted and gentle grey appy/QH mare Tommy - kind of skittish grey appy/TB mare Mickey - a large boy, big mans. White appy/QH gelding Carlos - the sweetest orange appy/arab gelding you will ever meet
|
All of them are 10/10! Such cute names!!!!
Lilac Lily Fearless (The name of the gypsy Vanner I ride) Midnight Ricochet Mercy Sugar
|
Lilac 7/10 not a fan of the actual flower which means I'm biased but overall good name
Lily 10/10 mind we currently have a mare named Lily visiting our barn and she JUST had a little foal Pumpkin so I'm again very biased Fearless (The name of the gypsy Vanner I ride) 7/10 great in the show ring too long for every day IMO (mind WAY more original than the Gypsy I used to ride named... Gypsy) Midnight 8/10 cliche but for a reason Ricochet 7/10 same as fearless great in the show ring too long for every day, I'd wind up calling him Ric Mercy 6/10 interesting old fashioned and oddly ominous Sugar 8/10 cliche but solid Again horses I know/knew Frodo - my first lesson pony stocky shaggy and did indeed go barefoot Charlie - TALL andilusion (spelling I know) Arabian cross who is SUCH a kind gentleman in lessons, I call him Chuck Happy - an oddly stubborn palomino quarter horse andilusion cross (looks like a unicorn when you take his mane out of its braids) Nick - big retired chestnut warmblood who still thinks he's in the show ring no matter who is riding
|
Frodo - 7/10 Adorable!
Charlie - 8/10 I really love it for some reason lol Happy -6/10 I’m not really feeling it but it’s cute Nick - 9/10 LOVE Mine: Cricket (my horse) Josie Arabella Sprinkle Ganache Sterling Emerald Willa Regina

Does anybody know a name suggestion(s) for a arabian flaxen liver chestnut colt? If you do, please tell me somehow.
|
By Retired breeder, 12th June 2022 17:55:01
Ashe - 8/10 - super cute but I feel like I would never use it
Queen - 6/10 - super basic Dewdrop - 10/10 - my dream horse is named this! Aqua marine - 5.5/10 - not my style, kinda long Raining Gold - 9/10 - love this name, it’s so pretty Icicle - 8.5/10 - kinda basic but really pretty Avé Maria - 7.5/10 - pretty, but not my first choice for a horse name My names: Whiskey Bella Kalani Viento Fifi Reno Trip Tucker Lavender Rusty Lulu |
If it is people names I would give it 3/10 because if you say “Come on Charlie” then it sounds like you are calling a person, and people will be confused. Horses are great, but they are not humans.
If it is something made up, like dragon or midnight or happy, then it is at least an 8, because people will know you are talking about a horse.
