There is nothing players can do to help this.If you sent the request in in the last day or so, it may be that they have a lot of requests and it often takes a couple of days to get a reply. It it was longer, say last week, then it might be worth just adding a note to your original request. I can pass a note to the team to ask if there's a problem but that's all I can do as a moderator. I think you'll just have to be patient.
