Is there a difference with 60 Blup and 100 Blup?

Does breeding with 60 BLUP still give the foal(s) bred the maximum GP gain?

100 offers the best, but the difference is minimal enough, and you save resources by breeding at 60. Many will breed at 60 because it's faster

Breeding to 60 BLUP *usually* entails completing all aspects of the BLUP except for the 20 wins which tend to be the most gruesome part of the process. For example, donkey teams will 60 BLUP because it’s difficult to fill and win 20 comps with donks.

That being said, 60 BLUP can be reached any number of ways. For instance you can complete the 20 wins and forgo another aspect of the BLUP.

100 BLUP is best for max GP gain, but anything over 59 can result in GP gains.

Depends what you're doing. If you're breeding for *skills* you'll definitely want 100-BLUP only - the ibs loss even from a few points below 100 BLUP is significant. But for GP alone it really does depend on how easily you get wins. If you find yourself struggling to get the 20 wins during BLUP and wasting a lot of time racking them up, I'd say skip them (unless breeding skillers), but if you can get them pretty quickly it might be worth it to have that boost.

Actually getting wins in pretty easy for me....but aging to 10 years is harder for me.

Well, the horse will turn 10 anyways. If you want to start breeding a little earlier than that, no harm no foul. The first couple foals just won't be as quality as the later ones. default smiley :)
