There are no rules and no issues with inbreeding on Howrse. In fact all the top horses are inbred by teams as it the fastest way to increase genetic potential

Ah ok that's what I thought! I was confused because in the rules for this forum, it lists what you are allowed to discuss here and "non-inbred breeding (NIB)" is specified. So it left me wondering why that distinction was being made - if there was actually any in-game difference or if in-breeding just wasn't allowed.

There are some players who like the challenge of breeding non related horses but it's fine, as said above to breed siblings together even, if you want to get the best GP.

You can inbreed without any problems. And as said above, majority of us get the top skills by doing it (breeding the siblings, for instance).

You may see some sales stating "Not Inbred". This is just roleplaying.
