[FT] Spoiler Zone!
The part that is no longer valid is when people are using accounts which have not been visited by the owners for months and maybe years to gain advantage for themselves. They do not have the owners permission to do that. And with the new data protection laws recently introduced it may be that the company is breaking the law by allowing it I think kicking people off dead accounts is the only good thing about the co-man changes. If it is a legal thing, howrse should kick everyone off co and then send out a letter saying the law has changed blah blah blah, you can now add co managers back to your account, but doing so is acknowledging yada yada yada. Problem solved. Just them deciding to add the person as co should be permission enough knowing what access it gives the person. Having to give "permission" every time you log out is over kill. Why have a co manager if you don't trust them? Howrse even says on the co man page."By sharing your account with someone, you grant them access to your whole game, including your passes. Only use this option with people you trust!" Making it so Co ends in 30 days if the account owner doesn't log on. That is a great idea! The rest... not a good idea in my opinion. |
I can't say I agree nor disagree with the new co-management changes. I rather see how it plays out before I give an in depth opinion. I had no issues with the Co-Management feature so I don't see why it's needed to change it now. Everyone is on Howrse at different hours of the day so if an account is online for 24 hours, it's probably more than one person, I highly doubt it's just one person because they have their own account. Stopping more than one person from being on at a time that's understandable.
I don't know if it's still implemented but back when I had my old account if you were inactive for two months (one month?) Your account got deleted. Now say, you forget to active the Co-manager when you go out on vacation and you are gone long enough for your account to be deleted, the most you will probably get is a sorry. Same thing goes for if you do activate it but you don't log on on the 30th day to renew it. As for the GDPR law, I don't see why that plays a factor. Everything you do on the internet is traced, even in incognito mode, sites you visit, things you search are watched and traced. Hence when you search "Dodge Ram Trucks Near me." You are going to get ads for Dodge Ram trucks even if they aren't close to you. When you sign up for something, you are basically giving them access to use your email to an extent for example you forgot your password, or username. Even changing your email doesn't remove the fact that your old email had ties to what ever it is you used it for. As for keeping the accounts of dead players active, is that really needed? Thinking logically and not emotionally does it really matter if the accounts of deceased members are still on Howrse? They will just be taking up space in the ranks and space on the server. If this game lives for a long time, there will be people in the future, who wont even know/heard of the deceased player. Saying that their account should stay active makes no sense when the account is never used and is just there to say 'RIP so and so 2018-2020' Not to mention it's not fair to everyone else whose account would be deleted if it fell inactive but a deceased person gets to keep their account. They wont use it, and you can't give it away because that's considered cheating by Howrse. You aren't suppose to share or give away accounts and I doubt they would curve that rule simply because someone died. Do you know how many accounts would be left untouched on this game simply because the owner died and people feel it should be left alone. Plus, how do you know the person just didn't lose interest? Unless the family provides a death certificate, there wont be any sure fire way to say the owner has died. Also, the owner could just log on and say they died so that their progress wont be lost. As for the family having a say in what happens to the account... I find that to be asinine. No grieving family member would sit and say 'We have to make sure Bobbies account stays active on an online horse game.' That wouldn't even cross the mind of any grieving family. The status of an account on a game in which the owner has died will probably be the last thing on their mind even if it does cross their mind. As for someone on their death bed. They would probably be more concerned with spending what time they have left with their family, not worried about an online horse game. Now, there is going to be that one person 'Omg Zafira is rude and insensitive!' Which isn't the case. It's called thinking logically, if their account is allowed to stay. Their memory would be kept alive only as long as people remembered them. The only thing that would be left of said account in the future would be what people have said. Future players wont care that the accounts owner is dead. I know it may sound Harsh but it's true.

Can someone tell me what the next promo is? I have given up on the current one
|
When was the last time that the planetary divines came back and through what method? Are there any chances for them to come back?
|
I think the next promo is
Click to display Take A Vacation - children visit you wanting freebies and they pull a sulky face if you don't give them exactly the items they want. I played a few days on pre-prod but won't be making any effort when it is live. The maximum satisfaction points I managed to get from giving the highest value items to a child that demanded them was 26 points. And this did not happen each time I gave the exact items! I think that is what made me lose interest. If you can't get the max points by giving exactly what they want then why bother? Giving them other items gave satisfaction points varied between 13 and 24

When was the last time that the planetary divines came back and through what method? Are there any chances for them to come back? As far as I remember it was quite a while ago. We never know what howrse decides to do. But they've offered quite a few of the older ones lately, so chances are they might give us a chance to get them again some time in the future.

When was the last time that the planetary divines came back and through what method? Are there any chances for them to come back? We don't know when old divines will make their return. So like to come around more often than others, and it's usually a surprise what the next old set will be.

My Sun stats says "Date of Birth: 2017-07-22" so that is the date I got my last one of the Solars when they were last released in TC/GF items. So it has been almost entire year, correct.

Thank you all

Don't know if the Leo divine will be in reserve sales but if you buy the Cancer divine in reserve sales, you can breed her and get Leo.

This message has been censored since it does not follow the forum rules. I remember them talking about it, along with a new divine, but for the moment Pass Horses are still a thing
