Not sure if this needs a spoiler since it’s just general Black Friday, but better safe than sorry lol! Are there ever any deals on passes for Black Friday? Cruddy working memory and I can’t remember if it’s just the sales; or if they add a little something extra on the side like some other games do.

Normally we get 1 Divine in an event, but every year in the Christmas event, Howrse decides to make something special.

There is of course the normal part of the Event where you get 1 full Divine and then there is the Special offer where on the 25th of December (24-26 depending on your Timezone of course) where we all get an offer between at least 5 different Divines to go after.

Normally, at least 1 gives Passes, the rest is a little random, mostly middle gifts Divines.

So overall, there should be at least 1 Divine that gives you Passes and normally, they go fair low price compared to so many other offers in Weekends and other Events, so if you don't get something good from Black Howrse Weekend, then there is at least a chance for you to get something good about 1 month later.

We do have Reserved sales this year, and a fair chance for there to be something good at least 1 no matter what you prefer.

If you are in doubt about whether to spend your Passes on the Black Weekend or Christmas, then we should be able to know which Divines will come in the Special Christmas Event before or at the same time Black Weekend is here.

We do also have the Christmas Packs where, for a certain price, you can get a Divine of your choice (if you chooce this option, and are in doubt about which is the best, then i would say it depends a little about your player style)

Right now, these are the series i would recommend:

Gemstone
Solar System

Gemstone:

Jade is normally the highest Passgiver of the Gemstone Divines, and can gift ca. 150-220 Passes each month in total. Jade needs to be woken up to give Passes. He can gift either 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 or 1.000 Passes when he wakes up.

WARNING: In all my Howrse years (12 on the Danish server, 10 on INT server) i have only seen 1 person win the 1.000 Passes. Most commonly, you get either 0 or 10 Passes.

Ruby gives every time he reach a new birthday (so 1 year, 2 year, 3 year etc.) and you get 50 Passes each time. He has Water of Youth, so that will be ca. 100-150 Pass a month.

Sapphire gives 10 Passes each time he is an even number (fx. 25 year + 6 months, 37 years + 2 months etc.) and 1.000 Equus when an unemennumber (fx. 25 year + 7 months, 37 year + 3 months etc.) when you go to a certain players page (he will show you each day who you need to visit)

Solar:

The highest 3 Passgivers every month, are Jupiter, Io and Sun (all from the Solar system).

Sun can only be obtained by you either collecting the other Solar system Divines (except Moon) or by buying it from other players, so there is 1 you can't choose from the pack.

Jupiter gives 10 Passes each day he wins 2 competitions (so if you can limit it, then it's best to only put him in 2 competitions you know he can win and then focus on getting his skills better)

Io gives Passes each times the comes in second place in 2 competitions (so he works best together with a Jupiter, where Jupiter of course needs to be at least a little better with skills so he can win over Io). Otherwise, Io can also work fine with anything else as long as their skills are better than his.

If you prefer getting Passes more easily, then there is fx. Mercury that gives when the day is a prime number (as long as you at least logged in 1-3 days before the prime number) which is 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31 in each month, so normally 100-110 Passes.

Also Mars, (that might even come around Black Weekend offers in Reserved sales) is good, he gives 10 Passes each time you increase his skills with 20 points. Right now, the total of the skills you can collect overall is 52.320 skill points. That means, that if you choose Mars from either Black Weekend or Christmas packs, you can get a total of 26.160 Passes, even more as the highest skills always improve.

Of course, Jupiter + Io gives the most compared to Mars in total and over the months + years, but Mars is easily to collect Passes from + you don't have to get the Passes the moment he get enough skills, you can collect them and get Passes whenever you like it.

There is also fx. Croesus who is a good choice, he gives 100 Passes each month on the 13 if you have been logged in the day before/the 12 in the month. If the 13 in a month ends up being a friday, then he gives 200 Passes instead. Normally we have at least 1 friday the 13, He can also be sold and normally goes for a high amount.

Here is the ca. total for each Divine:

Croesus = 1.200-1.400 Passes
Io = 3.650 Passes each year
Jade = ca 1.800-2.640 Passes each year
Jupiter = 3.650 Passes each year
Mars = 1.825 Passes each year
Mercury = ca. 1.260 Passes each year
Ruby = ca. 1.500 Passes each year
Sapphire = ca. 1.820 Passes each year

Winner of the guaranteed Passgivers = Jupiter
Winner of the random Passgivers = Jade

Jupiter won over Io, because he is easier and just need to win, but with Io you need to be 100% sure that there is someone who can win the 1 place and out him in 2 place. (+ with Jupiter you can easily do fx. Daily mission that says "win x amount of competitions with a Divine horse" or just in events like fx. the Halloween ride we have now)

So it's extremely important to know your player type, since you can earn from 1.200-3.650 Passes each year.
