I don't know much about showing models, but I made some backgrounds, and showed them as they were. If anyone could give me tips on how to show them, but also if anyone know the official pack names, but I named some myself.

Oh I hate when that happens!

IMEHA is a great website with showing every month. It has all kinds of classes to put all types of horses in.

How/What do you show/ What is the point in showing. God I'm such a noob I just need a rough explanation of things. Also how do they decide who wins in the shows

You can show all types of models from breyers to schleich and collect a. You have to sign up using an account name and upload pictures of your models to the website. You then enter in a class. There are performance classes for horses under saddle and conformation classes. Each show is judged once a month by a person who is experienced in horse show judging. You try to accumulate points to get division champion.

Ah cool! I'll try it out! Can you buy tack for them, or is it make your own?

You can buy tack but it has to follow the rules for each division.
Yeah, I only show in halter for that. Tack is too hard to show. It needs to be properly fitted and al that

Our new house is almost done, so hopefully I can soon make a schliech stable! I'm hoping to make it really big and realistic.

I got the Arabian mare a few days ago and she is lovely! I've made her the sister of the stallion since I'm not going to get the foal. PS, any name suggestions for the Arabian mare and stallion? Sadly they are still both nameless.

which arab mare?
@animallover12345.....first....really super nice models you've got.....default smiley :)

With regards to the backdrops.....don't put your model directly or close to the back drop itself. Pull the model out about half way. Also...I can see flash on the back drops themselves which you don't want. Best to take photos outside (if possible) on an overcast day. If you have to take photos in sunny weather....make sure the sun is behind you.

Even a light blue poster board can be used as a simple sky backdrop.

I want to show-off my Schleich Horses, but don't want to take them any where to show them.
Is there any good horse showing websites that I can take a just take a picture of them and send it in?
Thanks

What does everyone think of this photo I took of my Schleich mare Skydance jumping???

Good but try to angle the camera slightly to the front so you can see the jump, it doesn't have to be far if you still want a side profile. If you do a front shot then you won't also have the slight issue of the legs not quite being in the right position. However, there is nothing you can do to change that.
