Daily Objectives: Tips & Tricks

Daily Objectives

You can now complete two daily objectives each day! Some players can earn equus and others passes, depending on your seniority level.

Find your daily objectives on the homepage of the game, which is the page you see after logging into the game.

Completing the daily objectives seven days in a row will give a Horn of Plenty ! You can check on your progress through the gauge bar directly from the “Daily Objectives” page.

Within this thread players who need help, want to help, or just would like to share their progression with the daily objectives are welcome to post here.

All forum rules apply.

Please note that if you want to discuss the feature itself or give feedback on it, we ask that you do so with the dedicated topic thread for new features here: A new year brings new features!

Warm Regards,

The Howrse Team

HAVE YOU OR A LOVED ONE BEEN SOFT LOCKED BY THE "Trigger a bonus for the Falabella family by entering a horse in a competition" OBJECTIVE???

What is the reason for including objectives that only pay to play users can complete? The

paid memberships give those users 15 and 30 passes rather than the original 10 and 20

passes; so the inclusion of objectives that the majority of players cannot complete seems

to only benefit the paying persons and further the gap of what the casual player can afford.

Now please understand I'm not upset at the Pegasus or VIP members, nor am I mad at

what these memberships offer/give. On the contrary; I think it's awesome and would

probably sign up myself if I was able!! But I think we can all agree that Objectives, for the

most part, are well balanced with difficulty and the over-all aspects of the game. For

example, yesterday was one day that I was only able to complete one of the objectives. I

traded an objective and got the "give a horse the color bonus who's not received it yet"

and didn't have the tack-- this was a bummer yes-- but a basic feature I missed out on

because I sell my tack. BUT when a player gets stuck on this objective, "Trigger a bonus

for the Falabella family by entering a horse in a competition" what are they supposed to

do?

I also find it suspicious that you can see multiple forum posts from google asking the same

question but once you click on them the forum page no longer exists. So obviously this is

something that Howrse is aware of and is choosing to not address.

I have as well friend, and someday maybe possibly in the future, Howrse will care about their poorest of players.

You get Tiny (a Falabella horse) for FREE as one of the trophy prizes. It’s pretty early on too so it isn’t hard to get a horse to complete this objective for free. I have never paid any money to Howrse and I have not had any objectives that I have not been able to complete in quite a few months. There are definitely aspects of the game that are easier or you have more access to if you buy a lot of passes or spend money on the subscriptions but I don’t feel that completing the objectives is one of them. Early on in the game they are a little harder to complete because you don’t have everything you need but if you plan wisely it doesn’t take long to have everything you need to complete all the objectives without spending money on the game.

sorry, not true. We all get 10 and 20 passes for the objectives.

anyone can pick up a Fallabella from the trophies and from the sales. So no, you are not being 'soft locked'.

the objectives have been around for a while now, and forum topics are routinely deleted to save server space, so no, I dont think its suspicious.

When I was 86 days into my game, I had no Divines. I had about twenty horses, I had *one* starter horse, hardly any black market items and no passes. The game has changed so much over the last 15 years. New players have more things than ever to make their game easier and its up to them to use them to progress at the speed that they want and to achieve what they want to achieve. It is not an instant gratification game unless you want to spend a lot of money on passes, but you will find that as you progress you will gather resources and be able to get on quicker to do the things you want.

In the end, it is a game, there is no conspiracy to 'keep poor players down'. It is still free to play and funded by the players that do buy passes.

If you've ever seen screenshots of players getting higher amounts of passes from objectives, it will have been during a temporary promotion when Howrse offers extra passes, and it's available to *all* players, not just those who are Pegasus or VIP. As already stated, those accounts do not earn a different amount than those withouta special account

Perhaps try aging a few. It could be that you had previously woken them, and just forgot you did so.

Open the unicorn’s page that you want to remove the horn of as if you were going to do any tasks or anything with it then scroll all the way to the bottom where the edit and sell buttons are and there should be an additional one to remove the unicorn’s horn but this is not reversible. The unicorn will now just be a regular horse, pony, etc. and can no longer breed with or give birth to unicorns but it will keep the unicorn skills bonus as a daily objective bonus.

Ways to do this that dont break forum rules are to go to the Events forum and use the Looking for Congratulations? topic, or just do it yourself, go and congratulate a whole bunch of people. If you find people that have congratulated someone in the last few minutes, chances are they are doing the same as you and will see and congratulate you back quite quickly.

What are the current contests that I can enter to win a prize? Does that mean I have to do the Olympus challenge, or are there other options?
Sidenote: everyone has been super helpful for returning players like myself, so thanks a ton!

Just a reminder that the forum rules still apply to this topic. We are not allowed to post:
"ads for your horse sales or coverings"
Nor "requests for black market items, passes or accounts"

You get the color bonus when you give your horse matching 2** Ear bonnet, saddle cloth, and polo wraps.

did you try filtering the competitions all the different ways? Did you look at all the different comps with all the horses you tried? It might take a while and a bit of searching but it wont be impossible.

I have a question on one of the objectives I got today, but I don't want to break any rules on selling horses in forums...that's not what I'm doing here but I still want to be careful about it.

Would it be okay to ask for tips on here for selling a horse for 10,000? I'm not trying to promote any of my horse sells at all, again that's not what I'm doing/trying to do. It's just one of the daily objective I can never seem to accomplish

consider what sort of horse you would spend 10000e on. What do you look for? Look in the sales, see what sort of horses are being offered for 10000e or more. Check how long they have been in the sales. More than a couple of days, they've been priced too high. Once you have done that research, you can look through your horses, and your BM items, see if you have anything that you dont use but might add value to a horse that you want to sell.

Hey, I was just wondering what pace is best to complete daily objectives at. I don’t feel like rushing through them (especially since there are seniority quests), but I also don’t want to progress too slowly. I usually do the objectives that I can already do, but some objectives come after my horses are already bedded, and I don’t really feel like using an AP on one of them just to complete the objectives (other than AP objectives themselves, of course) since I want to save APs for the future. So I was just wondering what the recommended pace for going through the objectives would be. I guess I can try playing the game naturally, but as I said before, some objectives come after I had already done what I should do to complete them. I decided to focus on buying horses for now instead of focusing on the objectives so that I can advance faster in the long run. Thanks for any advice! default smiley :)
