[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

I totally agree. default smiley xd Imagine if we end up having a fjord unicorn coat categorized as a riding horse unicorn coat.

I just noticed the previous discussion on Sighthoundlady's coats. I have been on and off over the years and it was a shock to find that they have all retired in one day, as I still don't have some of my favorites yet. default smiley :'(

I wonder if the Pre-CS coats still retire nowadays when their creators leave the game?

A non pony Fjord is one of the worst offenders in my eyes lol, just cause of the uniqueness.default smiley :)

Yes they do, and that's what happened to sighthoundlady, most likely due to inactivity. She rarely seemed to have logged in, and in my own speculation, it was probably just curiosity to see if her account and all was still there!default smiley (lol)

And @ wildfire7979, wow, 12 years is a long time! that's pretty awesome!

Thanks for the info! I will take some time to scan through the pre-CS coats and get my favorite copies, just in case this happens again. XD

And nice coats everyone. I have been searching for that lovely pixel pegasus for a while, but I they are all crazily priced.

Bit behind you, think i started collecting in 2009 seriously.

It's never been the same since they introduced creation space imo, the anticipation of not knowing what might retire and when was exciting in it's own way.

Although must admit it's actually easier now on the whole, although the predictability of retirements had an unpleasant stage for a few years. This seems to be less of an issue at present i think?

I actually think there are probably more collectors than ever now, whether it's because of trophies or maybe the game overall got too competitive with teams and the grand prix added to GP race and more people have stepped back?

Considering I've been playing since 2012, only now have I started to take an interest in retired coats. Just wondering, if a creator quits does that coat then retire? Or does that just apply to pre CS coats?

That just applies to PreCS coats. Or, if a PreCS coat reaches 100 uses, the creator can choose to manually retire the coat.

I'm fast approaching 11 years on here and have actively been collecting RC coats for about 7 of those years.

Since the only time I get new RC´s these days are through coat release I turned my attention to GA´s since there is still plenty of those left for me to collect and there is added about a 100 of them every month.

I'm also a big fan of matching up the coat and the breed especially for the fjord and Friesian.

Since the information we have right now is that the coats will not be removed from the horses we have them on (this hasn't been confirmed but it hasn't been denied either and nothing was deleted off the test server)

At the very least the coats and breed matches I have right now will remain despite what the coat might end up being categorised as.

But I might just go hunting in golden apples for fjord and Friesian coats this weekend and put them on the appropriate horse/ponydefault smiley ;)

I only became an avid collector really recently. I would occasionally pick up RCs if I liked them and I’d been planning on grabbing some of my old favourites or PreCS coats I had once but sold, but then all of the cerona and Lulakita PreCS coats retired in a very unfortunate combo lol. Only then did I really start concentrating on PreCS and limited coats.

Ive been doing that this week, and ive managed to get a small handful on the matching breed but just dont have the funds to do many more. I sure wish i could get all the Fjord coats but there are so many! Im counting on others to put them on fjords, or at least ponies!default smiley *-)

I think one coat i did was a Friesian...so pretty!

Recent addition for me

У неба нет конца...
From 2015
683 copies out of 900 left

Question for discussion: Is there a coat that you just LOVE and even though you already have a copy, you always seem to be picking up multiples of it? Or is one enough for you?

I prioritize getting coats I don't yet have because I don't have the funds to buy duplicates. As it is, I have to twist my arm to buy the cookie cuttersdefault smiley (lol)

I'd rather let other players have a chance to own a copy of a coat they love anyway. I get sad over my favorite coats dropping in copies because that's less players who get to own them, so I don't think I'd get duplicates even if I could.

I am mixed..
The ones that are super rare , it is hard for me not to try and pick them up (fortunately or unfortunately many are out of my price range) I save my double of super rare to use as enticements when I find another super rare I am missing...default smiley (lol)
But the newer. Coats and older one with many copies I try to only take a copy so other can vet one too
