Thank the Howrse gods for answering my prayers to get rid of short rides! Lol! i still don't understand how this new change will make it easy why change something that wasn't broken

They could have left the old rides and gotten rid of the short rides. I'm not looking forward to this new system. I'll say it again... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And the way the EC's were, nothing was broken. I don't see the point. I agree I wish they would of had a poll for this worthless changes to ec and rides

These changes, like those of the past few months, are being done gradually to facilitate a complete overhaul of the ECs. There are lots of curious and potentially fun additions coming to that side of the game over the coming months, and it may take until the entire thing has been rolled out before the benefits of each individual part become clear

Horse Fan - For starters 3 rides instead of 7 does make things easier. I remember when I started I didn't realize that to get speed skills I had to do rides of 1 hour or less... Judging by the Game Play forums I don't think I was the only noob to have trouble with that either.
But having said that, I don't think changing the rides was done for the purpose of fixing or simplifying anything. If Ow's posts on preprod are anything to go by it seems the changes are intended to bring more balance to the breeds - to make things more fair. Compare blupping a Curly to a Tennessee Walker as the rides are now: - TWs only have to do 50hrs of rides using 810% energy in total (and 25 competitions) to get their skills. - A Curly has to do 100hrs of rides using 2340% energy in total (and 50 competitions)...

An I can't wait for the EC change!! I'll be starting to make a ton of Christmas cookies so making my way around the new changes will give me something to keep me occupied while the cookies bake :-)

Ok, I just saw a news blip that tomorrow morning it will launch.....
Would that be this morning, Dec 2? Or tomorrow morning? It can be confusing I am waking to start the 2, while others are getting comfy to great the 3rd.
